This drama is full of humor, love and friendship. The relationship that all of the five friends have is amazing. They stand by each other and care for each other so much. They each have the people that they love and that is a big part but there is also their art that they are so passionate about. They each touch each others lives to much. This is one of the most touching dramas I have watched. The relationship that each of the friends have with each other and the ones that they love are so special and touching. I have never been much for friendship dramas but this really moved me. Each character was so special. This is a very good watch.

This is a drama that goes against all the clichés most dramas have. After I started watching dramas a year before, I noticed that my expectations of a relationship got higher and higher. Because generally love and friendship we see are so pure and beautiful. However, real life is much more different most of the time.

Honey and Clover also has romance and friendship. But it doesn't mean that you get what you wish for the characters every time. I really loved being surprised by the chain of events and the way the characters reacted to them. When you watch this drama, you will feel close to each character because their story lines are parts of our lives.

The acting was very good and you can see that they improve along the episodes as well. I love the ending song and seeing the characters doing something fun at the end of every episode. Overall I recommend this drama as it is about art, life experiences, decisions and issues of love.

This drama is in fact plain, but the life of regular college students is rarely too exciting.I like the premise and as a young adult at university I can relate.Things like having no motivation or unrequitded young love might seem way less dramatic from an outside perspective but when you're there your feelings change. What I didn't like was the female lead (I actually couldn't stand her) and how everyone treated Yuta.Although Takemoto Yuta character has a lot of screen time in this, all his friends seem to ingore his obvious bad mental state or the fact that their pranks only keep hurting his self esteem.I cannot say whether this a cultural thing in Japan for casual friends not to discuss very personal issues but after a point I didn't find this to be a positive image of friendship at all .

The main issue I have with this dorama is that, until ep.8, the only interesting things about it were the scenes with Romaya-sensei and the ever-changing BTS clips shown during the closing credits (BTW, great song, seriously!). Dull script, unappealing characters and an annoying plot (or rather lack thereof) made it a real pain in the you-know-what to keep on watching until that point. Luckily, though, I didn't give up, as things picked up very quickly from then on and the last episodes were like a fireworks display reaching its climax. Now, how to grade something like that? Seven painfully slow and uninspiring episodes would deserve a "3" or "4", 4 very good episodes could get an "8" or even a "9"...I'll go with something in between and give it a "6". Self-reminder in case I'll ever decide to rewatch it: watch the first ep., skip the next 6, and enjoy the rest! :)

There is only one word that comes to mind when thinking of this drama; plain. Everything about this drama is plain. There's no fancy storyline, no humor, no romance, no tragedy, and no lesson....it was just plain. When I first read the storyline I was expecting some what of a rom/com, nothing extravagant, or overly mushy, but something with a little humor and at least some love interest. However, this drama is nothing like what the initial storyline makes it out to be. Yes, there is a firm foundation in friendship, yet the friendships throughout this drama seemed forced, and unnatural. The story made me literally fall asleep at times, and that's not an easy task to accomplish. The acting, however, was good. I enjoyed how the focus did not remain on one individual solely, even though the story's perspective was from one of the characters, the drama incorporated each and every actor/character in a real manner. The one character I could not stand was the lead female. Her character is what I like to call the Japanese Kristen Stewart. She had no personality, and barely spoke...ever. The music was highly annoying, and I just wanted it to stop most of the time. This drama isn't worth rewatching. I had high hopes for this drama but was sadly let down, therefore, I give this drama a 5. It was just...average.
