Story:
I think the story is definitely a majority of what gives sotus its charm. although it isnt a very complex story, it is a very realistic and emotional story revolving around the struggles of same
sex relationships and discovering yourself. I think that it is really well told with enough high points and low points to draw you in and feel the emotions of the characters. It is very innocent. Although the mechanic trope is very overused, this bl was the first of its kind. When watching sotus, I keep in mind that it was made in 2016 and paved the way for a lot of bl’s. For its time, this drama was unlike any other, leading to the BL’s that we get to see today! I also like the fact that there is no unnecessary making out or intimate scenes. As far as bl’s go, (with exceptions of course, there are a lot of great bls out there) i feel as though the story is just used for a bit of flavour, and all that the drama really revolves around is kissing and making out for viewers pleasure. Sotus, however, is pretty soft and innocent and I love it! I have always loved slow burn. If you love to see a relationship slowli unfold, with the satisfaction of sweetness at the end, this drama is definitely for you. It approaches the storyline very well and very sensibly.
Acting/Cast:
This is something that I know there are a lot of opinions on. I personally think that Krist and Singto did an amazing job. This was early in both of their careers. For me, good acting is when you can feel what the character is feeling, and you can differentiate the character from the person playing it. I think that they both did a very good job. I will ahree that some of the scenes are kind of cringe, but they are sampled from the novel and relevant to the story haha. Also, I find a drama a lot more loveable when there are loveable side characters. I love the energy of Artith’s friends. Especiallu Bright, of course, a fan favourite. Smaller details like that make a drama more enjoyable for me. There are a few characters that I feel lacked energy, but this didn’t effect any important dramatic performance so I can look past it. You know that a cast is loveable when you can’t help but get uspet after watching the last espisode. For me, my heart was set on Artith and Kongpop. Of course they are the main characters, and the cast is iconic, but not iconic to the point where i watch compliations on youtube and stuff because i miss them. Overall, Kongpop and Artith are the perfect match! And the actors are good friends in real life, which always helps to make their performance more authentic.
Music:
Soooo many bops the music definitely leaves its mark and makes sotus iconic. There are too particular songs for me. The opening track (of course) and the song that plays during the bed scene (not what you think, you will see haha) and some other scenes. It is always nice to have a song associated with characters to make you more emotionally attatched to them. The opening track also gives u nostalgia after u don’t hear it for a while.
Rewatch value：
Considering I first watched this drama 2 years ago and i am still writing a review for it now, that speaks for itself. The only reason I watch is for the authenticity and slow burn of Kong and Arthits relationship. Atfter a while, you sometimes miss it.
Overall:
It is definitely worth the watch! Don’t expect anything sexual, go into the drama knowing that you will experience a sweet story. Its iconic.
Especially if you have only recently joined the world of BL, this drama paved the way.

this series is able to express feeling .with just simple gesture don't have to much skinship but still you can feel it. i just find my self re-watching it after i finish watching the series in just 2 days even though im busy with my work. Its so good to watch.

An actual masterpiece
Listen, I have watched many BL series, but none has caught my attention or impacted me as much as SOTUS did. (I have never written a review about any series but I felt obliged to do so for this one)First of all, the story develops beautifully. It's not too fast, doesn't feel forced and everything happens naturally. It's a story about falling in love in a setting that might feel like a cliche but it's just so so well done.
The Chemistry between the leads is amazing, even without much skinship you just feel all the emotions through their eyes and expressions. (And personally, I didn't feel a lack of it (skinship) in the series as some people may claim, it happened in the right moments, and the fact it was more rare made each moment much more beautiful and special)
They handled all the dramatic scenes so well and I found myself very attached to the characters.
Something I especially liked about this show was that despite the age difference that usually leads to a (Big tall musculain guy & short smaller feminine guy) type of relationship, this series has really shown a relationship based on equality. They both care for each other on multiple occasions and really break the husband & wife stereotype that most BLs still have.
To me, this series has just enough of everything, drama, comedy, romance, friendship. I literally cannot praise it enough.
So if you're looking for a soft, sweet and beautiful relationship story that builds slowly + side stories about friendship, the seniority system and justice. This is the perfect show for you.

The story line is amazing , the acting is amazing , the chemistry is good. I enjoyed the character development of the characters and each episode brought something new into the story and it makes you cheer for Kongpob until the end. I probably wouldn't rewatch this as I found it frustrating to wait for Art to open up to Kongpob. For me , it took too long for the romance to build and I got bored at the end. But it's definitely worth watching for people who are looking for a proper drama series with a rich plot.

this is a slow burn bl and all the better for it . i got into it because of kristsingto s chemistry and their fanmade videos on utube . its the most realistic story ive seen in a bl without cliche desperate female side characters and without unnecessary twists .like how when arthit was confused what gave him clarity was a senior s advice and he wasnt pushed into a confession of love out of jealousy like so many bls . like singto said in an interview once its just a story of two ppl falling in love . it does that so well . its the usual clg story but emphasis on senior junior relationship and importance of following orders but also defying orders sometimes is done maturely and uniquely . the gear and 0062 x 0602 and pink milk x iced tea and food exchange bits are symbolisms that made this my favourite . like how a friend of arthit, a girl told him pink milk doesnt suit you but knogpob on the other hand didnt miss one oppurtunity to buy it for him cause arthit loved it and even drank it himself when he was missing him or too much in love . all this sweetness gave me diabetes i swear !!the gear exchange was beautifully executed. the exchange was like giving each other their hearts but in sotus s that changed into their hearts being one entity and each having a part of both of them through those gears . i never thought i believed in materialistic portrayal of love but this changed my opinion . sotus has so many fans and reviews so ik this is a drop in a sea but i dont mind the insignificance of my drop if its part of a sea so beautiful
one cliche bit was the whole im only gay for you part but with them unlike other bls i believed that love transcends gender and even sexuality . or maybe they are demisexual ( yeah i googled it .its ppl attracted to some one for their personality irrespective of gender )

Best BL and thats a fact.
This show has a special place in my heart. Even tho this was my first and introduction to Thai BL it always been my number one. For the amouth of shows I seen. Nothing can top it. Some come close, but not surpassed. Just everything about the show is ICONIC.Which brings me into the actors. Krist and Singto have amazing chemistry. I love them so much. I ship them as well as their character's. Which yes I know ther real people... but still their sooo cute together. Love the bonds they made with eachother.
Also the music. It litterly music to my ears. I added it to my playlist on Spotify. Even tho this is the first season am gonna say the second season intro was also. Just amazing. Which I also added to my playlist on Spotify.

The story line for SOTUS was very well thought out and I found the idea surrounding the acronym to be very interesting in and of itself. Plus, the separation of the main roles by class years provided an interesting dynamic that tested the boundaries of senior/junior relationships both in terms of romantic love and the general respect one has for their elders. In any case, the plot was easy to follow along with, giving the viewers a chance to focus more on the relationship aspects of the series.
Casting for SOTUS was another aspect that brought the series together so well. The two main leads appeared as extremely versatile actors and their performance made the characters all the more relatable. I could feel the genuine sincerity of their emotions on screen and that coupled with the musical score made for a wonderful viewing experience for me as part of the audience.
SOTUS is a series that I would definitely recommend for all viewers, especially if you're just getting into BL. What the series may lack in explicit intimacy (versus other BL's) it makes up for with it's sincere moments of affection and friendship between the entire cast of characters.

The plot is not brilliant or super innovative. Didn't floor my chin anywhere, though I do like how everything was laid out. Although I am not complaining, I feel like certain parts can be better fleshed out. The "Capture The Flag" game didn't really worked for me; I feel like there were fillers sometimes (the show kind of stalled) and there were sometimes "drama for the sake of drama". Don't come here expecting to get your mind blown away by the plot, but WHO CARES when you'll be laughing and grinning the whole time :P Besides, there were plenty of sub-plots, symbolism, "circle of events" and etc that more than makes up for when the plot lapses a little.

Spoiler freeI has seen so many good reviews about this show snd dropped anything I was planning to watch just to watch it, wouldn't say I regret it but I wouldn’t rush to watch it the way I did. The plot seems so much like a fanfic wriiten by a 16 year old, its very cliche, something that would be under the “enemies to lovers” “slow burn” tags in AO3 or wattpad, anyone that has read those will know excatly what I mean. I also feel like it takes too long for anything to really get going, 5 episodes in I was bored wating for so,ething to happen, but although I wasnt totally pleased im glad I continued watching. Despite my bad comments the characters are quite likeable, like those type of fanfictions Arthit starts out with you wanting to smack the screen whenever you see him but overtime you begin to love him alot, debatable but you can say he grew to be my favourite character. Kongpope is the character that you’d be mad to dislike, adorable, forward with his feels and you feel sorry for him at times. I wish there were more side storylines, well interesting ones, Aim and May was extremely boring and useless which sounds harsh but i just wanted the next scene to come whenever they were there. Honestly I wouldn’t watch SOTUS again but it wasn’t entirely bad, if you love things that are a bit cheesy you’ll love the bridge scene which once again was kind of fanfic-y but it made me squeal at the same time.
