1 Litre no Namida (2005)

Kyoko, a young woman with an unhindered spirit despite being physically bound to a wheelchair due to illness, and Shuji, a stylish and popular fashion magazine hairstylist, are brought together in a fateful traffic incident. Despite their confrontational meeting, they soon find themselves falling in love, with Shuji drawn to her courage and enthusiasm and Kyoko attracted to his ability to look beyond her physical limitations and into her heart. However, Kyoko's protective older brother and her worsening condition begin to test the bounds of their love for each other and threaten to end their beautiful life together.

Looking for a good cry about people who are trying hard in their lives but are presented with tradegies that they can't help.

I find these 2 quite similar, both lead characters are struggling with a worse disease, both have their own way to try to live on, no matter how hard it is. Both are such an eye-opener.

both are about trying to live your best life and not giving up whilst fighting an illness. Plus, they're centred on how their illness affects their family and friends.

Both are heartbreaking stories involving FLs that try to distance themselves from the ML who they love but know they won't be able to stay with because of terminal illness.

Both female lead end with terrible physical illness. The dedication of family caring for her were amazing. The royal friend and love from many was heartwarming.

Takabayashi Matsuri learns that she only has 10 years to live due to an incurable disease. She decides to not dwell on her life and not to fall in love, but she meets Manabe Kazuto at a school reunion.

both dramas are heart braking and make you wanna cry.

Both are about young people dealing with life threatening diseases.

Both are touching but beautiful stories and both makes you cry a river over them. Both includes school romance, but as you can see in 1 litre of Tears they are not the fun kind of romance. And both dramas includes "deadly diseases". Kou Kou Kyoushi is also a masterpiece. Don't think too much and just watch it.

Both has a girl with a terminal disease finding love. 1 Litre of Tears is more based on how the girl works through her sickness through her daily life and also finding love. Hidamari no Kanajo is more about the love relationship between the two and what it means to have a time limit on their relationship.

Cha Moo Hyuk was adopted by an Australian family but was abused and left homeless at an early age.
