The Parade of Pretty

So tune in I did; which wasn’t hard to do, really, with each episode topping out at a very compact 7-8 minutes. And y’know what, for what it is (an unabashed, extended CF for Lotte Duty Free, in case you were wondering), this show’s a fun little ride.

And the cast of men she has to choose from is beyond your wildest kdrama fantasies: Lee Joon Gi, Park Hae Jin, Ji Chang Wook, EXO’s Kai, Taecyeon, Lee Jong Suk, and Lee Min Ho. Wow!It’s all in good fun with each guy being very distinct and having their own little story to embark on.

Light, harmless fun, if you can keep your lens dialed firmly to fluffy, mindless fluff.

Ok yes, this is basically an hour and a half long CF but do you think this is the only one? Lol According to current research, every korean drama contains anywhere from fifty to 150 advertising placements. Bad Papa broke the record at a whopping 400. So, setting that incredible fact aside, I found this particular CF very watchable. It was fun, it didn't take itself seriously so ended up being whimsical. Our h gets a chance through some magic to have six first kisses. A woman hands her a bunch of cards each with a black silhouette. Once the magic begins, our H ends up in an alternate reality where she is still the same mall employee but where Lee Joon gi isn't an actor but an IT hotshot who happens to be her childhood love. But the minute things started heating up, our h is launched back in time to the same moment where it all began. And so our H discovers this is yet another reality where Park Hae Jin is her rich boss. He's also into her. But even this time when they kiss it rewind again. This time she gets the message that every time she kisses she'll end up reversing time. So this time around she decides to not kiss Park Hae Jin. And so the story progresses from a childhood oppa romance with Lee Joon gi, to an office romance with Hae Jin, to an action romance with Ji Chang-wook, to a student teacher rom com with Kai as her student but Kai is still an EXO member, to a melodramatic makjang with Taecyeon, and lastly shooting a CF with Lee Jong Suk. Each person basically teaches her something about her self and every time she meets the person she always thought was out of her league, confesses their love, her confidence increases until one day everything reverses yet again. This time walking right up to her is Lee Minho. And she hears that he's a writer so because everything in the past went so well she ends up being bold enough to flirt with him. I liked the idea behind the drama. That sometimes the only thing standing in our way is our own hangups. Also, I like that they defended the idea of dating different people instead of just having one experience because that's what makes you mature enough to find the person who is the right fit for you. Now, sure they were all gorgeous, no doubt, but I don't know why Kai's part was my favorite! Maybe I'm biased and so what but he's so beautiful and charming and I lost it when he started to dance. Very fun watch!

It's too short to really do a whole lot with its premise, and I didn't find myself particularly eager to watch each episode, but it's a fun and light-hearted story so long as you don't take it too seriously. I will admit that I found it difficult to pick a favorite suitor. With the exception of one potential love interest who feels shoe-horned into the story, the rest of the male leads are all fairly interesting and attractive. (And just like in an Otome game, there's someone for every viewer, lol.) Not all of the lovelines personally worked for me, but I did quite enjoy some of the others and totally could have seen them expanded into a much longer story.

I guess the best word to describe this web drama is cute. Ultimately, I'm not going to recommend it, but I'm not going to discourage anyone from watching it either. It was a fun premise I would love to see expanded into something longer.

I want to put a warning here though for anyone who might be going into this expecting certain things from the romance(s). There isn't a definitive romantic ending. (Or alternatively, there are six, sort-of seven, of them. However you want to look at it, lol.) If you are going into this expecting her to ultimately pick one guy to be with, you are going to be disappointed, because it doesn't happen.

Since this is essentially a big commercial for Lotte shops, for what it is it is nice.
Episodes are short and most of them interesting.
For a series called 7 First Kisses, there is no kissing at all, which is a bit disappointing.
Still, fun and quirky short episodes, especially 6th episode with Ok Taecyeon which had many typical soap opera tropes.
Overall, nice little show with incredible cast, great for killing time (if you don't mind Lotte advertising which was at moments cringy). Would recommend because episodes are so short and can be watched in one slow workday.

7 almost first kisses

Hmm... You can't really call this 7 first kisses when there were no actual kissing involved! Exactly like what Soojin said, "What kind of reward is this if there's no kissing?" HAHA!

Very short episodes to promote Lotte Duty Free but i still enjoyed it. When Choi Jiwoo said, "You need to choose just 1 person and the story will continue." Man, what a tough decision! She is one lucky girl!! Each episode showed different guys and in a different scenario, all using the usual kdrama tropes we know and love! If I were in her place, i will probably choose Lee Joongi (based on the story), Lee Jong Suk (based on the character), Lee Minho (based on looks) and Ji Chang Wook (based on the hotness).

Rating: 7/10

It's a lot of eye candy, which I'm sure we all appreciate, and I really liked how the little stories went and how the drama started to make fun of kdrama tropes in some of them — but there's really no overall plot. I was kind of waiting to see how it would play out at the end, but it was really only given a few minutes.

I might've been asking too much from an AD, but I was hoping to see one of those things where the main female lead realizes that there had been someone beside her all along, but all we got was another one of those random guys without any explanation as to "why this guy out of all of them?".

This fulfills what it proposes! And that is it!

I was looking for a drama to relax and watch without having to pay much attention. I was already curious about this drama, so I started to watch at noon and finished less than 2 hours later. This was such fun!

"7 first kisses" have just 8 episodes with less than 15 minutes each and is very fun to watch! I really think this is a drama that put all dreams of each "drama girl" and made a show, haha. Really, I imagine myself in the place of Soo-jin all the time! So many oppas for pick and kiss, OMG.

If you are looking for something quicky and light for the watch, I recommend this one. Just warning that we have an open ending here, you can be frustrated for that, but I really didn't think that this made any prejudice for the drama. It is something to watch without pressure or high expectations. Made me laugh a lot!

If you are looking for something deep and with an amazing story and plot twists, look for something else. This is a drama made for be simple and clear. I enjoy this because made me relax for the heavy stories that I've been watching.

Hilarious makjang parody that leans hard into all the tropes

As others have already noted, this is basically a long-form, multi-episode commercial for Lotte Duty Free (and also everyone's fanfiction, lol). I picked this up out of curiosity during a lunch break, because it had Lee Jong Suk, Ji Chang Wook, Lee Jong Gi, Ok Taec Yeon, Park Hae Jin, Lee Min Ho, and Kai. With a cast like this, how can one not be curious?! (Especially since it also required little time commitment.)

When Lee Jong Gi first appeared, all those dramatic close-ups and cheesy eye contact made me cringe in painful, second-hand embarassment. But it didn't take long before I started snort-laughing out loud. Whoever came up with this must have had too much fun condensing K-drama themes and plotlines into the most ridiculous short vignettes. Each episode leaned so hard into familiar tropes that I found myself cackling. Ok Taec Yeon's episode in particular really captured the hilarity of ridiculous makjang soap opera plot lines (they really blew that trope wide open in the bonus ending scene with the convoluted family tree reveal ?). And Ji Chang Wook especially, did not mail it in, managing to somehow still deliver a swoony and convincing performance as a secret agent reminiscent of his role in K2.

It's hard to grade this one, to be honest, so don't be too deterred by the low ratings. As long as you don't take this too seriously, it's a silly romp and entertaining enough for quick "fix". (Make sure to watch the bonus endings for each "first kiss" as well. https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLqfqR4Lc3PK_5uULCgxLJrPLNRwx3fPR2)

This show is definitely not one to be taken seriously, it's a show that makes fun of troupes in the K drama culture or in any pop culture story line. However, I appreciate the fact that they got many famous artists and actors in to portray each role, making it much more comical, and if you are a fan of any the the stars in this show, it's worth at least watching once. This would definitely be something I'd watch for when I go on a date, it's cute, sweet and very brainless in that way. If you are someone who is starting to watch k dramas like I was, this movie is good in the sense that you are introduced to different types of romance shows and you know many popular faces within Korea and TV shows related to it, and if you like any one particular actor you can love that scene even more. This is very much a show that you lets you form your own opinions on.

Ah this was really cute and entertaining. It's just an hour of fun really, basically an advertisement mixed with comedy and fan service.

The plot is basic and satirises a lot of drama tropes in a short space of time. The cliches actually work out really well and end up being hilarious. I think many people miss the message of the drama - the point is to make fun of fantasy and represent a more accurate (and, I think, a much warmer) reality that is awkward and doesn't always go to plan. Many people talk about how there are no kisses in this web series despite it's name - but that's literally the point. It's a subversion of the happy ending trope, where the big dramatic kiss at the end doesn't necessarily turn out as you expect it, and the 'dream man' who you want to be an actor, or a rich heir, or a secret agent is actually just an ordinary travel writer. I think the ending is good, actually. Without that final episode, the message of this series would be a lot more subtle.

The cast was sweet - but they weren't cast for their acting, they were cast because they're celebrities. It was mostly just fanservice and that's fine, it works well and it was cute in general. Cho Hee was great as a timid, clumsy lead who is meant to be relatable; her awkwardness was genuine and funny.

I actually really liked the music here too, it fit nicely. The whole atmosphere of the show was just fun and enjoyable. I'd definitely rewatch this whenever I'm in a bad mood or need a laugh.

Ok, so in order to enjoy this show, you need to be aware that it is basically just one very long commercial for a mall. It's not meant to be a deep drama. It's fluff. It's supposed to be fluff. So don't expect anything else.

That being said, it's fun to watch. The episodes are very short and the actors/actresses do a good job throughout the series. The story line is minimal, but cute and you do find yourself rooting (I guess that's the right word?) for the female lead. Though...you may not be sure what you are rooting for. Is it for her to end up with one of the guys? Is it for her to get her first kiss? Whatever it is, you can't help but want her to have a happy ending.

So, if you are in the mood for something kind of silly and fun that has short episodes and won't drain you emotionally...this is a great series for that. Enjoy!

All of heartthrobs in one drama!

this drama was quite fun! The story is very similar to those dating games for girls in which there are different romantic interests in each different ending. Everyone's performance, as expected, was good, but the series was really made just to make the audience's hearts skip a beat when they saw their favorite actors! It's a very lighthearted series since it was a promotional series produced for Lotte Duty Free Shop. i really enjoyed it and some times you can give it a quick watch if you want to see one of the male actors.
