This show had all the ingredients of a solid show. Started off with a strong foundation. Introduction of characters was also interesting but as story progressed, it became draggy or rather messy. Instead of love triangle, if they had focussed more on the idols' journey, family and friendships, this would have been an amazing show. Cast was good, the ambience, music was also good. Just that story could have been told better. Things seemed to have lost in a few episodes I enjoyed MJ's journey and all the side characters' journey and would have rather liked to see them more. Their journeys could have been explored more. The show had it's own warm moments but I would skip a lot of scenes if I were to watch it again.

Why Kdrama-land, why?????

I fell in love with Yoon Shi Yoon from Your Honor, I fell in big-time lust with Kim Ming-Jae from Dali/Cocky Prince and Brahms, and who doesn't adore Lee Se Young , especially after Red Sleeve Cuff. Yes, the premise is silly and YSY's acting is over the top, but for the first 3/4th of the series it was silly, over the top kdrama-land fun. And then.....Why writers, WHY??!!?? They totally messed up something awesome with a romance that should have never happened!!!!! YSY's character should have been the catalyst to bring KMY and LSY together, not the other way around! No father, even one in a 23 year old body, makes moves on his son's crush - not cool dramaland!!! I had already invested 11 hours into the drama so I finished it, but each progressive episode got grosser and grosser (for me) as the whole love affair turned my stomach. I'm a kdrama watcher who can re-watch (and re-watch) the love scenes over and over again (Junho and Red Sleeve Cuff, anyone?), but I actually found myself fast-forwarding through the YSY and LSY scenes just to get to the finish line.

In the future dramaland, MORE KMJ and less (for the love of God!) dad's hitting on their son's girl...

Storyline

I couldn't get past the dad getting into a relationship with the girl his son likes. I know she turned the son down but I just didn't like it at all so I couldn't enjoy the romance between the couple. They should have addressed that elephant in the room at the beginning and had another girl son for the son to like (or have him like the kpop girl that confessed to him).....then maybe. The acting was good so I hate to give a low rating buuuutttt writing is a part that also has to be reviewed....script sucked!

The climax was quit disappointing there is no logic in it.
We all know that if some thing change in time will totally change everything but how can a person came from 1993 can have a son in which they had in 1994 in a same timeline in 2017 it doesn't make sence.
I really enjoyed the drama up to episode 30 but the last 2 episode I hardly watched it.
In the some episode the closing of drama is also not good when I watch next episode I fell like some thing is missing the continuity is not there

Another drama with the time leap thing. Unfortunately, that doesn't work on this one. When the time leap comes up, the drama just can't handle it very well and that resulted to a seriously confusing ending. Other than that, the story was okay, with the leading actor actually supporting the whole drama, even though his chemistry with the girl was so so. The other actors did do well as well, but he was slightly better than them. In addition, the drama had it's funny moments and some stories were interesting to follow for a while, but, at least for me, at some point, the main story got boring, with no actual purpose. So, overall, 6 out of 10.

People who give this high rating must be Mental

I don't get how people can call this beautiful
Father who abandoned his girlfriend after taking advantage of her and his unborn baby and time travel to screw a young girl who is his son's first love
It is gross on same level as OLDBOY atleast that movie called that relationship gross
But this drama is glorify it..

Just imagine if ML had a daughter not son and he fall in love with his own daughter and screw her knowing she is his daughter that would be More beutiful for all those sick people calling this gross shit beutiful
Do you all watch gutter holes and call that beautiful

What a mess

So he finds out he is the father and who he had a child with and he barely reacts except for worrying about his genes? Scheming to get the girl his son has been in love with and unconvincingly saying he's trying to help him? Ughh come on. But with all the high scores it's doesn't seem like everyone is as weirded out as I am. I assume it's mainly the ML fans. I thought he was funny at first but then he got annoying. And I do understand we have to suspend reality to enjoy this show but it was harder to do as the series went along. Why would we root for this guy? Did he have any feeling for Bo Hee who is obviously struggling? The Mgr? His own son? Did the love story change throughout the season because it was a jarring change.

I'm a huge Lee Se Young fan but her damsel in distress act got tiresome. What a misuse of a great talent, I'm glad she was able to excel in the Red Sleeve after this debacle. Didn't feel the chemistry with the ML at all. If the creators didn't want her to end up with Ji Hoon, MJ was a much better option that um Ji Hoon's dad. In fact I thought it was a poor decision not to feature MJ and Bona more. They were way more interesting than the ML.

Also really liked Ji Hoon's rap at the showcase early in the season. Why not give him more opportunities? I cared way more about his story than the freeloading, deadbeat partner and dad who also steals the girl he's been in love with for years.

I won't be finishing this as I got to 20, was grossed out about the impending shift and then just read the recaps.

Firstly, I am a Yoon Shi Yoon fan! He is absolutely eye candy in this drama. He is hilarious and cute and i love his acting. I also like all the cast in this drama and i think they did a great job! You can't even think the badder guys are wicked in this drama... so I can't dislike them. The drama starts off really boring and I didn't really get into it until episode 3. But from episode 3 to around 15 or so, it was really cute and funny and you can see the characters building their relationship and the plot unraveling more mysteries. This show has 32 episodes! And somewhere from episode 15 to 27, it is pretty much fillers....  I fast forwarded some episodes because I just really want to know what happens Mr Ddabong... and alllll the fillers in between getting really boring and slow. I think the love story between the main actor and actress is really simple or shallow. The show is funny overall although I think they tried to make the show more funny at the beginning and in the middle it's more romance and slice of life... Then from episode 27 onward, it gets interesting again.  Music-wise, it has a nice theme song, but average at most, and it won't be stuck in your head.  Overall, it's a satisfying drama. The ending was satisfying enough, and I can't get Yoon Shi Yoon out of my mind now, but I won't rewatch this drama because the story is too slow paced for me and the romance isn't that great.

I really enjoyed this drama throughout. Lots and lots of laugh out loud moments from Yoon Shi Yoon's excellent portrayal of the character who travels forward in time and finds himself quite outdated.

The main love line was cute. To me I didn't see that much chemistry but had good dialogue.

I was satisfied by the ending and how the wrap up resolved the time traveling aspect.

Also another thing to note is that there were no villains in the show. The quasi-villain/antagonist in retrospect was quite cute in how he was portrayed.

After watching this show, it made me want to watch more shows about the k-entertainment industry!

Yoon Shi Yoon plays Yoo Hyun Jae, a 1990s top star who travels tot he future (otherwise known as 2017) and ends up entangled with Kim Min Jae's Lee Ji Hoon and his best friend Choi Woo Seung, played by Lee Se Young. Ji Hoon dreams of debuting as an Idol and Woo Seung is masquerading as Ji Hoon at the hagwon to prep to take the civil service exam, since she can't afford the lessons herself. The supporting cast in this drama is just as stellar as the lead actors. Hyun Jae is such a delightful goober, you can't help but root for him. Be prepared for some second lead syndrome (and also to flip flop on who the second lead actually is). Yoon Shi Yoon really embraces the whole fish out of water concept, while still embodying the kind of confidence one would expect from a (former) top star. It is something of a coming of age story, while not being quite like anything else I've watched. It was really endearing. The pacing can be somewhat problematic, and some of the petty machination stuff got a bit draggy, but all in all, this was a rough little gem that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Didn't make it quite to the end of the second (1 hour) episode after being intrigued by the first episode.

I'm not even totally sure why but all the interest I had in any of the characters or the plot had just evaporated by then. Wasn't funny, wasn't intriguing, the time travel culture shock just felt like a missed opportunity, acting was so so. I might have tried another episode on the off chance but the third accidental lip bumping in one episode just killed all interest off for me. Wrist grabbing didn't help either. It all just seemed like too much of a taste of what was to come.
