Great BL

Love how this story makes the transfer from college to life in the working world for one. We see how they are still dealing with their relationship and facing challenges together. The supporting cast is great and the music was fitting. There was a good balance between the serious and light moments. This is a very uplifting story. It is very realistic. It takes BLs to another level.I also liked how the female characters were depicted. They were not as silly as they are in some BLs. The entire production was well done. I recommend this bl to anyone interested in this genre.

Is this a perfect series? No. But it doesn’t mean it’s not an amazing drama.
This series is just like the relationship it’s talking about, it’s not ideal, it has its weak points but it has many strengths that overtake this tiny imperfections.
Now let me talk in detail what can Sotus S offer you.
-Acting - Singto and Krist didn’t surprise us much... they’re just so talented! Amazing actors! We couldn’t expect less, we actually got more! Krist really became Arthit, awkward, easily embarrassed young adult that pose to be strong and cool but actually is soft and lovely boy that is more than happy receiving all the love and attention from Kong. This slight smiles, this emotions that he tries to hide.... so adorable. He changes along the way, he grows up to be more sensible, stronger and wiser. But it takes him time.
Singto. Let me tell you he is one of the most talented actors I’ve ever seen. I don’t know how to contain all my compliments as not to overwrite. He has so many faces in this series: he’s a head hazer, a student, a senior, a friend, an intern and last but not the least a lover. Every single of this positions makes him show us differed side of his. His performance is superb, I can’t skip his crying scene... he’ll break your heart... prepare yourself, his emotion will hit you haaaaard!
-Production - pretty noticeable they’ve got more sponsoring. Better outfits, nice locations you can easily spot how different season 2 is from season 1. Everything is on bigger scale but it’s not overwhelming. I very much enjoyed to see more and better clothes on Krist&Singto ?. Watching Sotus I really wanted to buy another pants for Arthit... seeing him all this time in this baggy jeans I wanted to kill the stylist, but I understood that money are needed to have many outfits and they had many actors to take care of.
-Story - why is Sotus S (following Sotus) so different from other series? There if a few things to point out here. First off all what I love in both of this series is that we do not have this major misunderstandings. Problems and misconceptions happens but they’re fixed pretty fast. What we get to learn from this drama is that good communication is the most important thing in a relationship (not necessary in a romantic relationship but in any type), that sometimes we need to reach to people ourselves and not just wait, this way we’ll be able to fix many things.
We meet a few problems along the way and this problems will able Kong&Arthit to deepen their relationship, to understand their problems, pains and needs this way they’ll be able to grow up as people and as lovers.
Kong&Arthit’s relationship is not open to us viewers, we just see the top of the iceberg , they don’t let us to eavesdrop and peep on them too much, they are very privet. Sometimes I was like “please can we have more? Maybe another hug or at last can you hold hands?", from time to time I was hoping for Kong to be more than just being flirty and taken some actions... but after some thought I realized that it wouldn't fit the story, that it would be awkward. This rare moments of intimacy between them were just more precious because they were so spare. But they couldn’t be more perfect than this as they were just so heartwarming.
We do have some side couples but they don’t gat too much of a screen time and I must admit that I really liked it that way. We do get to see them and witness their stories, understand their characters but they don’t overtake the place of the main couple. This way we had enough time to develop the story of Kong&Arthit.
- Soundtrack- not much to say but we have two pieces sang by Krist and Singto ?.... really nice!!!
There are some things that I would like to see in this series and I find them missing but this doesn’t make this series worse, it’s still very very satisfying!
Personally I would love to see more of Kong&Arthit relationship with other people and their families.

This series talks about many important issues. How to communicate and understand other people. How to be more sensitive to needs and feelings of another. How to make the best out of your time when you still have it as working life and student life is very different. How to cherish our friends and people we love and how to care for them. How to face problems, take responsibilities and be brave.

Maybe it’s not a series for every person, but if you’ll have an open heart and open eyes&ears you’ll gain a lot from this experience.

I’ll definitely rewatch.

(Ps it took me half a year to be ready to watch second season as I was worrying I will be disappointed because first season was so good. I’ve read some comments and heard some informations about the "misunderstandings" and was so stressed... I shouldn’t have...)

Not as Intense

Simple, sentimental, but slow. This is sort of, kind of a continuation of SOTUS. This series simply left me empty and wanting more and just felt that there was such a missed opportunity to intensify their relationship and make it so beautiful. However, there was a saving lifeline. They did make a follow-up series called ‘OUR SKYY”. This is a stunningly beautiful one-hour addition occurring sometime after they have been a couple. There are parts of this series that should have showed greater character development but did not. That was a bit disappointing.

Compared to the first season, season two was a huge improvement in terms of storyline and acting. There was more clarity and it was more enjoyable to watch. Singto's acting improved a lot here as well.

There was a point where the relationship between Kongpob and Arthit started becoming a little stale but good thing there were side stories to help me continue watching. I do hope to see more of the other characters though. Wanted to see more of Yong and Nai as well as Tew and Dae.

Overall, I would say this was a nice continuation from the first season and most likely a great ending to the series. But once again, I would complain if there's a third season.

Overall it was a great season I had to laugh so much just like in the first season I think that the sidepair deserved more screentime and I thought it was great that this one character got finally a girlfriend but she almost had no screentime sadly it would've been so great if they all had more screentime

still a great series tough

RELATABLE, REALISTIC, WHOLESOME, SWEET

This show is definitely one of the most unforgettable BL drama that I've watched. This show not only addressed the LGBT community, it also gave us scenes or situations that are relatable and realistic. We see this in all types of relationships and I'm glad that SOTUS : S pulled it off well. The way the relationship of the main couple began in SOTUS and how their relationship mature in SOTUS : S is beautiful. We saw their ups and downs, the issues they have to face themselves, the love they had for one another and how they were able to stay together until the end is so wholesome for me.

While some of the viewers might be disappointed because of the lack of physical intimacy in the show like also in Season 1, I actually didn't see this as a problem or a nuisance because what's important in this show is the fact that we get to see how the couple's relationship grow like also in other shows (Dark Blue Kiss and He's coming to me). We need shows that portray good relationships and addresses the important issues in the LGBT community, not just some toxic relationships.

SOTUS and SOTUS : S (INCLUDING DARK BLUE KISS AND HE'S COMING TO ME) are definitely a highly recommend for viewers who are looking for good BL dramas that are properly addressing important issues in the LGBT community.

One of my favorites

Story
The story is amazing. I love how it shows the difficulties of not being straight in a work environment. I love the flashback scenes too some of my favorite scenes.

Acting/Cast
Like I said in Sotus the original Krist and Singto are amazing. Especially Singto's acting specifically in this one. I also love that Fiat was in this one. He is a great actor.

Music
The OST once again bomb. The background music ok, nothing really standing out.

Overall
WATCH!!!! I love The Sotus series and it will forever be in my heart as one as my favorites.

So I finished this show right away after I finish the first season (which it was just great) and I was eager to know how their story was going to be. And if you are wondering, it gets better. Although sometimes kongpob's actions would get me out of my nerves, kinda sometimes too much. I really wanted Arthit to breathe sometimes, but man Kongpob really loved him lol. Krist really did a great job, great acting I was surprised at how much better he got and Singto as well. Some characters I wanted to see more often but it is what it is. I really wish they have given more background to Day and Tew cause they were really cute together. Overall, you guys would love this one. One of the best BL.

12/30/2021: waaahh. After all of the bls I have seen in the past (almost) 2 years. this is not one of the best bls, but it is a good one.

Legendary BL

I already rewatch this series a couple of times now, this series makes a whole difference in its first season they make it bigger in overall aspects.

Story: The story really makes me dream about what is in our future will be like, they really make it great and gives us a lot of lessons to learn in every episode.
Acting: Their acting is so perfect that I caught myself sobbing, they really give justice to the novel. Krist acting is a really important role in the series and he really makes it looks so easy I really adore him for his great acting.
Rewatch: Just like I've said a rewatch this series a couple of times now, so I think I'm gonna watch this again this coming month.
Overall: Overall this is a legendary series the whole team makes it super great and reasonable for me to like the actors.

SOTUS S Is Superior Fight Me

Yep as predicted, I liked this season much more than the first! First off, our main actors look a lot better in this season. I don't know if it was the hairstyling and makeup done in the first season, but this one was vastly better especially for Arthit. They looked great! Anyways, right off the bat Kongpob and Arthit are way more coupley than the first season ever showed. Which says a lot because there still isn't a whole lot of that until the latter half of the show.

It's 3 years in and Arthit is still struggling with affection. I understand that PDA can be difficult though, so both sides are valid. Kongpob does have the patience of a saint though I swear, he is best boy and I love him so much. He's also a much better orientation leader than Arthit ever was, a lot kinder in nature. We see a lot of that world again, but unlike the first season this goes back and forth between hazing and Art's new job. So it's A LOT more balanced and interesting to watch! Amongst that we get Arthit missing college while getting into the workforce, which is very relatable. That was a nice touch.

Random question. Was Off in the first season of SOTUS? Lol because I cannot remember him being in that season for the life of me. I know my mans Green (Gun) wasn't as Cherry, whom btw was my favorite character besides Kongpob and I'm totally not biased. He was so funny and I wanted more and more of him! Now amongst the cute scenes we get (like the beach kiss, skipping studying to "chill" in rooms, etc) I got kind of frustrated with Arthit. It felt very blamey to me how he treated Kongpob throughout the show by getting mad even though most of the time it wasn't his fault at all what was going on. I personally would put up with none of that nonsense, but he does have massive change at the end with his big confession scene so I give it a pass. Also his mannerisms throughout the show were hella cute, so I couldn't stay mad at him for too long.

Final thoughts include, poor Bonus needed a better life man than that tiny freaking tank he was stuck in. Also I saw a comment somewhere saying that Singto and Krist are the "forefathers of BL" and this made me bust a lung. The end.

It’s really good. I really enjoyed watching the second season as it focused on what being in a homosexual relationship in a work space and in public was like. Arthit has always been quite shy to express his love for Kongpob, but Kongpob on the other hand is really good at that. Arthit is still uncomfortable about being all lovey-dovey with each other in public and so this leads him to push Kongpob away often.
I completely understand why Arthit would act this way. Kongpob is the first boyfriend he has ever had, and he’s still trying to come around to it. Although he’s been with him for quite a while, he still isn’t fully comfortable. And this leads to him not being so affectionate unlike Kongpob, who craves affection from Arthit a lot.
There are misunderstandings and conflicts between them as both of them choose not to talk with each other at times. Some people were quite bugged about how Arthit was being so distant and/or upset and angry with Kongbop. But to be honest, Kongbop wasn’t informing him about anything, so of course he would get upset.
Eventually the two of them (sort of) take a break. And Arthit took some time to reflect, and when he knew he wanted to be with Kongbop, it made me really happy.
Gay relationships aren’t just sunshine’s and rainbows. Arguments can stir between the two. Some fixed, some not. I find Sotus to be a very romantic and quite real series to me, it being my first Thai BL drama ever.
I didn’t mind the lack of kissing, since when the moments when they interacted romantically still left my heart sore. It was good, nonetheless.

This series takes place roughly 2-3 years after Season 1. Kongpop is now a third year and the head hazer while Arthit is facing new challenges that come with entering the workforce. Campus life is largely left behind, as SOTUS S focuses primarily on Arthit's life at Ocean Electric, along with the potential strain this puts on his and Kongpob's relationship. New challenges arise, along with new faces, and I think fans of Season 1 will enjoy this season as well.

Once again, the acting from all of the characters is fantastic. As Kongpob, Singto retains his sweet, endearing manner. No longer the head hazer, Krist shows us Arthit's softer, shyer side, and it's absolutely adorable. Krist makes the most melt-worthy expressions and seeing him interact with Singto's character is really cute. They have the same chemistry between them as they did in Season 1, which I think is both a good thing and a bad thing, and something I think a lot of people justifiably critique. My main issue is that Kogpob and Arthit still act as though they're in the beginning of their relationship, rather than a couple years in. I totally understand that Arthit is shy, and am in no way asking for full on public PDA, but a soft touch or brief hand-holding every now and then would have been nice. It just felt like their relationship hadn't progressed at all since the end of Season 1 and that which, again, occurred several years prior. It felt like Kongpob was still chasing after Arthit even though he already had him. We do get some more lovey-dovey moments towards the very end, and very cute ones at that! It just would have been nice to some of that scattered throughout the series. It's certainly not a deal-breaker, but those going into this expecting a bit more romance than what was given in Season 1 be warned.

The story line, I thought, was interesting, although I was getting a little bit bored towards the end. Something special about SOTUS S is that the director includes special scenes at the end of each episode, which are primarily flashbacks of events between Kongpop and Arthit after the latter has graduated. These were a cute touch. As with Season 1, there wasn't a lot of development with the side couples, which was disappointing as they had so much potential. One of the side couples could have been eliminated altogether and it wouldn't have made any difference to the story. I'd definitely be interested in seeing both couples developed further in a future series or movie, but I have a feeling that probably won't happen.

That said, I did enjoy SOTUS S, but I did enjoy SOTUS a little bit more. The university setting and hazing challenges provided a bit more diversity and variation than the obstacles in this season. Still, I enjoyed watching SOTUS S (incredible acting + charming MCs) and would recommend this franchise to anyone looking for their next BL to watch.
