short, but sweet

tawainese bls always impress me, the raw emotions you feel are impressive. the story is cohesive to follow and is beautifully accurate.

I loved that this series had many simplistic and innocent forms of love/romance. the eye contact, photography, the little amounts of skinship..

my heart broke a few times. not even just for the main pairing but also because of the bullying, taunting, suicide attempt.

it was all very sweet. short enough to watch whenever and even non bl fans could give this series a go.

as for the music, i believe it set the mood properly of the series.

One of the most EMOTIONAL BL SERIES IN 2017

Acting: The two male leads Edward and Jason have executed perfectly in ther roles so and ther acting are so on point makes me want to rewatch thher scenes againand again. The side character mr. Xu is my Idol i like how he executed fighting for his identity of being openly gay and i also like his sailor.moon outfit it so fcking dope!!!!
Story: Thank GOD this plot has an happy ending becoz it was made in Taiwan if tgas was made in China that would have been a bad ending or could have been banned just like they did to "Addicted" , anyways the storyline has a lots of Roller coaster of emotions in ad good way and they did really good About everything hehehhehe…
Music and Rewatch value: The OST and BGM are all on point its really Perfect this should have been a perfect 10 on overall, i think i want to rewatch again becoz it has one pf the most beautiful bl storlylines in a short series. To all straight and lgbt supporters i would recommend this bl series there are so many life lessons that you will learn and also this series was able to tackle the lgbt issues perfectly and i love it!!!! TAIWAN I LOVE YOU

It was a nice drama with a strong message. It had a solid pilot episode but there were times I get lost in the middle of the series because it was trying to tell two different stories. However, the quick turn of events prevented it from being draggy and made the parallelism tolerable. The tying up of the two plots was fine but it wasn't as on point as I hoped it would be. I somehow got the point of the balloon as a metaphor but I'm not sure why it has to be red. Could it be because of love? Passion? Violence? We can associate many symbolisms and emotions to the color but I wished it was incorporated better in the story.

My only takeaway from this drama is that we are all balloons. In a society influenced by hate and prejudice, the safest option is to float. We opt to settle somewhere in the middle. We can’t afford to stand on our own ground. We are held hostage. The concluding episode made a huge statement. It is less difficult to support and protect some strangers or random people who are bullied or condemned. But when it comes to our own family or loved ones, we find it hard to accept and fight for them because of who they are and who they love.

No matter how hard you fall, how bad it hurts, there will be someone to get you back up, and someone you'd recognize at hello.
You're weird, but I like it.
Some people, fall in love for words,
Some fall out of love for ties,
Yet I never thought
We will part for a song.
We are like balloons,
We can not fly to the highest,
Yet we do not live on the ground.
Love can not be faked.

By far the second to the top of my list. It was a short series, so I just watched the movie because of short episodes but it took my attention. The storyline was indeed fantastic. Chinese people likes to make short series, unlike Thai who are very diligent in writing long series.

The actors were really great. Subtle is acting and portrayal but good. I just wished that the longer the story would have been the case it ended really fast. Overall, it is in second place, following 2 Moons.

cause this was made in Taiwan and as really enjoyed the HiStory series, had high expectation's and this fell short - i for one don't get anyone giving this high reviews - like yeah to each their own... but this plot had promise, but it didn't really develop to anything, and i felt that the actors also fell short -

first off Li Xiang just comes off as a stalker, he latches onto Xia Zhi the sec he sees him and just turns into his shadow - which i guess considering he already knows he is gay and is "struck by lightening" the sec he sees Xia Zhi... so i get it - u can't help who u r attracted too - but he is too forceful and i found it very uncomfortable to watch. plus (and here i donno if it was the translation that lacked) but Xia Zhi seems just naïve and very clueless - where his being brought to a gay bar, he is more worried if its age appropriate not even noticing that its only guys and what that means - so it felt like Li Xiang was manipulating the situation and Xia Zhi - and i didn't enjoy that feeling -

add to this Xu Chu and her crush on Xia Zhi, which isn't only mishandled but belittled and turned into a side joke by Li Xiang - which didn't make me like him anymore... if anything she was the one that handled the situation and the rejection like a mature adult, when she the same age as about both moron's.

and watching this what interested me more was Xu Yang- the kid that was being bullied and his side story - there was more there that held my interest and heart, then with what was going on with the leads - but everything was kinda rushed and wrapped up in the last episode - just cause it was the last episode and we needed a happy ending. it lacked logic or common sense and left me wondering WTF... this doesn't come close to being a good BL

Pra-YNEH (Your Name Engraved Herein)

YES very rekomended.
