Started this drama with so much hope and excitement and ended with no desire to finish it.

This was my first Siwon drama, and I was as hype as a person can be without spontaneously combusting. (The man is gorgeous.) I did not realize going in, however, that his style of acting is so....hammy.... I'm not typically a fan of hammy acting, even when it's intentional. As such, I didn't really enjoy his character as much as I had hoped I would. (Not that Siwon wasn't absolutely adorable at multiple points throughout the story. Siwon can't help but be too cute for his own good.)

Truthfully, almost all of the actors can, and have, done better things. They certainly put in the effort, but the characters were just so poorly written that it made no difference. (Although I must admit that Gong Myung's performance impressed me, even if his character frequently infuriated me.)

Unfortunately, the story was pretty lackluster as well and did nothing to counteract Siwon's corny acting style or the poorly written characters that surrounded him. The story set up some really interesting premises initially. Chaebol turned clumsy part-timer, Candy who Likes part-time work and has no interest in a 'real job,' Chaebol potentially renouncing his life of riches, and Candy guiding him along the way. (That's really it in terms of premises that were interesting.) These were characters I liked and wanted to know more about. But the drama never went anywhere with these ideas and just turned into a generic, bland amalgamation of nothingness instead.

I usually feel incredibly guilty about dropping dramas, even when they're terrible.

I dropped this 2 episodes from the end and never felt like going back. (And I didn't drop it sooner because I was on the Dramaclub at Dramafever for it and was only able to drop it when I did because things got kind of hectic in my life at that moment and provided me an out.)

When I drop a drama and feel no guilt...that is one heck of a bad drama.

Easy to follow

I really enjoyed watching this. Choi Si-won really steals the show with his adorable dimples and intent gaze. He’s really cool!! I like how he doesn’t give up on Baek Jun and has so much faith in her. The team of three unlikely friends he made at the construction site are really cute and comical and their friendship and loyalty to him is so heart-warming. If I was Baek jun, I definitely will fall for him rather than the wooden Je-hun! This is my first drama watching Choi si-won act and I am going to look out for all his dramas and movies from now on!

More dramas like this!

I'm so sad to complete this drama, I really loved the whole atmosphere and the characters. The aesthetics was also very beautiful and clean. It's a real gem: funny, touching and committed at once!

The main characters are different from what we're used to see. Byun is far from arrogant and brooding male leads hiding their feelings, on the opposite, he's totally open about them and dares to confess (even though he gets rejected a couple of times). I have something for goofy guys as well, it breaks the bland hot male figures. Things often turn out bad for him, it's not too easy like it can be in other dramas.

The female lead also is very interesting, she's not a fragile little bird who needs to be protected all the time nor one who's over-the-top, she's just normal, natural, smart, and can take the lead in the action. She reminded me of Park Shin Hye's characters. Kang So Ra did an amazing job as a charming hard-working young woman who's trying to find the truth about several issues.

We have a real love triangle, both male leads have their pros ans cons. Sometimes one is standing out, then the other. The secondary characters are interesting as well, from Byun's scatty mother who's adorable, Byun's hyung who's a bit scary, the undercover cop, the employees, etc...

The fight between poor and rich is well thought, Byun goes down at the bottom of the hierarchy and has to do back up working hard. He discovers what it's like to actually work, how things are harder than it seems, how helpful it is to be priviledged, etc..
It's a real pleasure to follow this team of friends and colleagues who support each other while struggling with this shady company. One of the best series in this genre!

Refreshing

Love this drama. It wasn't really a cliché cocky chaebol falls for poor helpless woman drama (though I'm a sucker for cliché kdramas). You also don't get a light fluffy romantic drama. It jdidn't focus on the romance, that was actually a side plot. The main focus was the injustice on the workfloor and rather friendships, but it wasn't light. Some things were rather hard to digest. However I thought the story was enjoyable, there were comedic elements(I thought there were many funny things), I also think they had a good cast to portray the storyline. Also the soundtrack was quite fitting and not annoying.

I think it was worth watching and will definitely rewatch the show. If you want something refreshing, I'd definitely recommend.

Boring unromantic subpar comedy

I tried to finish , this drama but the story was draggy and the romance between the character was non. I really thought this was a a Rom-Com. Yet this is more like a Non.I feel that the writer was trying to slowly have romance but by have slim to no real developing romance between the characters. I also feel the comedy was cringe, not in a funny cringe way but in a "they trying to hard" cringe type of way. The business aspect was also hard to enjoy from a comedy romance business mix view If it really a boring day I might finish this drama but for now ,dropping it.

Dropped........................

Looks like "Revolutionary Love" had more plot twists than an episode of a soap opera! I mean, three attempts and still couldn't get through it? That's some dedication right there. It's like ordering the same dish three times at a restaurant, hoping it'll taste better each time.

The protagonist's transformation sounds like it needed a bit more seasoning—maybe a sprinkle of authenticity or a dash of character development. Going from a privileged person to a "champion of the people" is like trying to turn a cupcake into a superhero without the right ingredients.

And a predictable love triangle? Come on, writers, throw in a curveball! It's like playing chess with someone who only knows how to move the pawns.

The pacing issues sound like a real workout for your patience. I can almost see you checking the time, hoping for a superhero to swoop in and save the day, or at least bring some excitement.

At least the cinematography and production quality were on point. It's like having a delicious-looking meal that unfortunately tastes like cardboard. Presentation matters, but so does the substance!

And those attempts at humor—forced jokes are like trying to tickle yourself. It just doesn't quite hit the mark. Maybe they needed a comedy consultant to spice things up.

In the end, it seems like "Revolutionary Love" missed the mark. If only they had added a pinch of direction, a dollop of character development, and a splash of unexpected twists, it could have been a feast for the eyes and the heart.
