it reminded me a lot of Itazura Na Kiss , but rather a better storyline ( Xiao Xi is not as stupid as Kotoko and Jiang Chen is not as arrogant as Naoki ) .
With all the serious drama that's going out now , this is the escape with an adorable & cute light drama .
We've all seen this kind of setup before but that doesn't stop us from watching the drama anyway xD
This drama makes me very happy , i like that even though Jiang Chen was smart he wasn't arrogant as hell , he was sweet but still definitely have his cold and stoic character at times & Xiao Xi was very bubbly even though she likes to follow Jiang Chen but i like that she have her own character & her own dream to follow as she has a talent in art .
I liked how they brought some of the issues that almost every student went through .
I got lost sometimes as how much time has passed between the sequence of events but it didn't bother me , but the time when they are in college I wished they have focused more at that period & show more about their relationship development , I felt the drama sped the events & I wanted more episodes T_T I miss the cutie couple ..
And I have to say Hu Yi Tian is gorgeous <3 His height differences with Shen Ye made a lot of scenes so much better !!!
The squad too is really cute and portrays friendship that is fresh and natural , I find the acting in this drama much better than a few C-dramas i've watched so far .
I also liked the short scene after each episode ending , it was so funny !
It is really good drama with nice storyline & I'll rewatch this anytime , I think everyone will enjoy it ~

IDK how many people would read this but here i goWhat i liked about the drama:
1- the acting actually good there were funny scenes in the drama that made me crack up
2- The music (OST) was decent it isn't my favourite and definitely wouldn't make it to my Spotify playlist but its good none the less
What i disliked about the drama:
1- The female lead's character. She's dumb. The whole story about unrequited love was actally okay but the female lead had no form of pride or shame with how she kept flinging herself to the male lead that at one point i felt that she was an embarrassment to the female gender.
Shes not the brightest person and im not asking for her to be, but i if she at least TRIED made ANY form of effort it probably would have been a different story.
When they finally get together *(a tiny spoiler for context) her man becomes a doctor and she gets mad that he isnt at her beck and call 24/7. Come on sis he's BUSY he has to save lives idk but here is when i started to hate her - she breaks up with him for this petty af reason but there is no form of communication in their relationship so it was doomed from the start
2- Sacrifices. Although in a relationship there should be sacrifices it should be two ways but not here. ONLY the male lead kept sacrificing for her but her ungrateful ass was just so extremely proud it was disgusting. She had no sense of pride before now she suddenly has it *insert eye roll* and me kissing my teeth
I sincerely hoped that they wouldnt get back together as the male lead could have done 1000000% better than her. He gave up his place in a prestigious university for her, helped her dumb ass publish a book even though she wasnt talented enough just for her never to say a common "thank you" but instead stay salty
To conclude i could never watch this drama again as i would probably lose hair from the stress i get watching the female lead - BUT you do you sis!

Childish ...
So the only reason I started this series was because of the ML!!I am really not a fan of the FL and after watching this I see why, she was the most annoying and childish throughout this whole series, and so annoying, how they got her to play this part is beyond my understanding. The rest of the characters were absolutely fun to watch especially the second FL, I feel if she had played this role and made it a bit more serious it would have a fantastic series to watch.
The childish of this series is really unbelievable, honestly I don't think it deserves the rating I gave it. I get that it was a high school drama, but that was more like kindergarten material. The ML was very mature and serious were as the others had that playfulness which set them apart the FL OMG was just so wrong and so daft that she actually spoils the drama, I mean after graduation she still had no clue what to do and was even more childish.
The female lead, super manipulative, and toxic towards a dude who ain’t even that interested in her. Watching her obsess over this dude is just sad.
Definitely Not worth watching again, no matter how much I like the ML, just the thought of the FL is very sickening to watch.

Boring with unlikeable characters
Don’t get the rave reviews. The plot moves slowly and for most of the show, it is focused on the high school years. Both leads are totally unlikeable. The male lead is a total jackass to the female lead in the name of being “cool”. The female lead is dumb and incompetent to the extent of being annoying, rather than being “cute”. In real life, you should avoid this kind of people at all costs. High maintenance. The whole show portrays the shallow kind of attraction. Unpopular opinion
What is all the hype about? The main female was airhead and a stalker. I don't find anything cute or charming about someone stalking someone else. I felt so sorry for her, because she comes off as not being very bright (combination of poor grades and not getting a clue that the guy has no interest in her), and the stalking aspect made me feel like she must have had no pride or self esteem. The main male was cold. I did like the friendships represented during their high school years. However, once they graduated, the script took a turn for the worse. While coming to the storyline, it was a simple high school romance which was very easy to understand. We could see some of the best examples of friendships. I believe Gao Zhi Ting also played a very remarkable character. He showed us the real example of love. He was always there for Xiao Xi and even let her go smoothly when the time came. We could also applaud him for being the matchmaker for the leads as he made Xiao Xi hear Jiang Chen's confession.
I will give it a high high high rewatch value. Do indulge in it if you want to recall your school romance.

Watched this a couple months ago but only writing a review now because I saw that my notes were cut off.Comments right after I finished watching : Cute drama but the story line had a lot of typical tropes. (love triangle, girl who's mean to the main character, etc.) Also sad that Wu Bo Song didn't get a happy ending himself.
I'm a bit surprised at my own rating (7.5 when I finished watching it). Now, after a few months, I have positive memories of it. May have to rewatch to see why I didn't like it that much before.

Very Meh and FL Super Annoying
I wanted to love this show.I started watching b/c I watched Shen Yue in Meteor Garden last year. She was ok in that series but I wanted to see her in something else. Plus I see that she has been in a lot of dramas and people really seem to like her. I dont think she will be come one of my fave actor. So far she has played 2 annoying characters.
In this series she plays Xioa Xi. Worst FL I have seen so far. She was so childish and annoying it was hard for me to like her and root for main couple. I felt like practically every episode she was whining about something and /or crying like a damn 5 year old. Yes she's young and in high school at the beginning and in love for the 1st time but her antics bely her age. I guess being an only child and coddled by her parents will do that. Serioulsy it was too much. Really see why ML found her annoying even though he utimaley falls for her!!!!
Jiang Chen is the ML and for all his faults he was the same throughout so I understood his motivations or why he behaved in a certain manner. I even liked his explanation for why he ended up falling for FL.
Wu Bo Song very likeable guy but FL was never going to fall for him so it sucked that he was so hung up on her and did so much for her. Wasted efforts... but a fool and his money and apparently his heart are soon parted.
What I liked though was Lu Yang and Jing Xiao good friends to everyone and I like their story the most even though I felt like Jing Xiao was manipulated into liking Lu Yang b/c of his health condition.
Overall would never watch again and you can't give a 0 rewatch value.

At first idk why but really lazy to watch this drama. Until now i'm finished watch this too still feel complicated toward this drama.First of all this is the first time i don't like ke main male character. Not the actor, but the character Jiang Chen (JC) himself. The most coldest person in the word. He really introvert and don't like to talk, that at the end really make the communication problem with Chen Xiao Xi (CXX). Hu Yi Tian played JC perfectly, can't complain there.
What i like about this story is how they friendship form. It's just so simple. And friendship till the end...
Overall: my first impression about this drama quite spot on. I don't really like the story. They make it too little episode, until it feel everything are fast forward. I really hope they make it into a little longer or maybe they can make it into 2 season. What make the story better is the final episode, where JC explained to us how he feel about CXX. Really loved it <3.
