This drama has the same lead pair Hu Ge and Ariel Lin. It is a very sweet, funny love story. Though the story takes a serious turn halfway, it is very engaging. The soundtrack is beautiful too, give this a try.

I really don't get Hu Ge. I can never watch any of his works completely unless there is another actor like wallace or peter around. He irritates me somehow.

The Little Fairy is a wuxia drama which means that the ending isn't the usual cookie cutter ending. It's complex and sometimes not what the viewers want. However, though I BAWLED MY FREAKING EYES OUT during watching this drama, I LOVED IT! It is soooo good! Hu Ge <3 (let me at him!) played such an amazing character and he literally grows in front of your eyes, but his kind hearted nature remains the same. The chemistry between Dong Yong and Xiao Qi is quite intense at times but that's what made it so enjoyable.
Though some may classify the ending to be 'sad', the ending was very fitting. I think bittersweet is the word that should describe the ending of the drama because it did leave me sad but filled with hope.
Don't let the ending deter you from watching an amazing wuxia drama because it really is and you won't regret watching. Just keep a box of kleenex next to you. Trust me!

Can anyone recommend a really good Chinese historical romance drama? I can't seem to find one after watching this drama. Maybe my standards are too high after finishing this one.
