Good but could be great

Story:It's like most historical drama we have seen before politics, war, betrayal, romance etc with revenge. The first half or 18 episodes are really strong, the establishment of the characters and very focused on the main plot. Would give a higher score if the next half to end episodes were as strong as the first, the story is all over the place, after episode 21 the show jumped the shark, it's unbearable (in my opinion) to continue to watch to the end. With the show named after the main character, you would think the story would mainly focus on the character but unfortunately it is not, that's the problem of the show it is too plot driven with the other characters taking up a lot of runtime of the show that kind of pushes the main character out of focus that sometimes I'm asking what's the name of the show again? Acting:Main characters and most side characters have really good performance even the child and teenager actors. The ones that stood out are the two main female characters, Eun go and Sa Taek Bi, very intelligent and complex female characters.
