It was alright, I liked it. Nothing to really complain about. Tokyo DOGS wasn't overly cheesy and cliched, and I really appreciate that. It's always fun to watch Oguri Shun, and together with Mizushima Hiro they couldn't go wrong. Whenever the pair would break out arguing over random topics such as food or fictional characters (at the most inappropriate times) I smiled like an idiot each time. The bromance between Sou and Maruo, while not my favorite of all time, is really cute and fun to watch. And there was no stupid love triangle which I'm really grateful for. Not a must-see, but it's a nice watch to pass the time.

This was just a ridiculous funny action drama. I rated it high coz of oguri shun. Hes so serious reminds me of Damon wayans in major Payne. one of the funny scenes was the mother. Every time sou is in a compromising position like shooting a suspect or tagging a criminal the mother would call asking him unnecessary questions and healways said "I'll call you in 10 minutes," which she wouldn't accept..... anyways twas hilarious. I wish there was another episode and i wanted to see some romance develop. The other funny character was the cop lady who would kiss the boss's ass and repeat everything he said after she had disagreed. Lots of eye candy including jinno.

Mizushima Hiro and Oguri Shun are absolutely wonderful in this drama! I love how their characters act together; they are absolutely hilarious partners! I would love to see them act together again. After re-watching this drama, I noticed a lot more familiar actors/actresses and I fell in love with this series all over again. It does get a little cliche-love-story toward the end, but it isn't too bad and it doesn't make it so you can guess the outcome. This drama is filled with twists and turns; the work in this series is very unpredictable. I would recommend this to someone in a drama slump or just starting Japanese/foreign dramas. It is fast paced, but that doesn't mean it skips over anything or it's hard to understand. The acting in this light-hearted, almost slice-of-life, detective series is fantastic! The characters (actors) all have a wonderful rapport with each other and they bounce off each other's skills and personalities well.

I watched this drama a while ago when it came out and, after many years, I still remember how I loved it and how I was so in the wait every week for the new episode.

Amazing cast: the two male leads are just great and have a perfect bond and chemistry, plus the dialogues are very well written and you can’t help but laugh and smile.
The story jumps from hilarious moments to serious issues, but it never feels fake or forced; the soundtrack is also fit for every scene.
I remember I laughed so hard on some comic moments, but then got hit by sudden twists in the storytelling... I think this is a show that manages to keep everyone glued to the screen because you never know what’s about to happen next.

Just a drama everyone would LOVE!

I though Tokyo Dogs is a crime drama, but after watching I've definately changed my mind! It's comedy! There was action, but too little. There weren't any tension thanks to lovely Sou's mother and her life problems with tamagotchi or something else...

Sou and Maruo make great detective team, though both have got specific sense of humor. I don't seep them, but they are funny.

To sum up, the drama isn't the best production, but it can be watched.

Oh wow this series was truly horrible!

I don't know if it's because of the stoic main lead or the unkempt extreme goofiness of the second male lead. Either way these two shouldn't do anything else together. It didn't work for what the writer was trying to convey in my opinion.

The cinematography was horrible. The first episode looked like a person's first attempt at film making and it looked like a cheap and cheesy detective show and from what I've seen, it didn't lose any of those aspects.

There's no chemistry in any of the cast members. I did like the police chief but everybody else was just there just to be there.

Each episodes that I made it through was dry. I tried to make it to the 5th episode but couldn't. The music didn't help either. It was too loud and upbeat in the wrong places.

The constant phone calls the mother was making to her son at inopportune moments got old really quick. It became annoying.

If I was to tell you about the plots in each episode I couldn't. I kept losing interest and found looking out the window more interesting than what I was watching.

I don't know how this series got high marks. If I was to rate this from a negative standpoint then it deserves a 10 all around.

Guess I'll be sticking to the Korean dramas.
