The Gangster, the Cop and the Devil (2019)

Without spoiling anything, both movies humanize gangsters. Despite the fact that the main leads have very reprehensible actions, the movies manage to build empathy for these characters. The movies both show the gritty realities without any glamorization.

Young and Dangerous tells the story of Chan Ho Nam, "Chicken" Chiu , Tai Tin Yee , Pao Pan and his brother Chow Pan during their inclusion into the "Hung Hing" Society. The focus is on internal squabbling within the triad, spearheaded by "Ugly Kwan". Based on a popular comic book series named "Teddy Boy", the film contributed a lot to the public image of triads and was condemned by certain quarters as glorifying secret triad societies. However, it was immensely popular in Hong Kong and spun a long list of sequels and spin-offs.

The film shows Chan Ho Nam , Chicken Chiu and their friends being recruited by Uncle Bee and joining the "Hung Hing" triad.

Good gangsters and bad gangster. Can the gangster do good? Can the gangster be on a good side to fight the devil. Can gangster switch side?

Can the gagster work with the cop to fight the evil? Can the evil abide by the rules of law? Can the cop twist the law to make room for the gagster?

Can the cop or prosecutor work with gagster against the big evil!?what is the master plan? Will the gangster obey the law? Will they get along?

Although the Japanese movie is not gangster, but one main lead make a plot to bring out the evil and seek revenge.

Could the prosecutor job secure by doing the right things? Could the prosecutor be framed and need gangster help? Could the gangster and the law enforcement work together?

The prosecutor working hard against the evil but was tiresome and went nowhere. Who is the real murderer? Who can he trust?

A Ryong, a daughter of a giant Mafia group in Hong Kong, is wrongfully accused of killing the boss of Black Dragon, the biggest rival and is threatened to leave the country. Missing her mother, who had to leave the family for some reason, so deadly, she insists going to Korea, where her mother might be now until things get settled.

Arriving Korea, she is guided by Gi Chul, who is given a mission to protect her by his boss, but it's not easy for them to get harmonized. Meanwhile, an assassin named Yang Be is sent to Korea to kill A Ryong and there seems to be no choice for Gi Chul but to take her to his hometown disguising that he's got a wife. What will happen to this Chinese gangster wife?

Would people leave a gangster alone? Could a gangster live a normal life? Can the falling gangster still have the ability to fight against the evil?

Both are action, thriller and has gangster/mob in it.
The good and bad not necessary all fight
Can they really join force? What are they fighting for?

it's kinda funny that both Ma Dong Seok and Kim Mu Yeol acted in the bad guys series, but not in the same one.. KMY acted in the 2nd season while MDS acts in the 1st and movie vr.
basically the stories are the same, the cop/prosecutor work with the "bad" gangster guy to get a more "evil" enemy..

The three make characters consist of good and bad and weird. Some intensity, show that people can cross the line, the bad can be good. Different profession or personality can join force.

Yi Hwan is a former professional baseball player. He was involved in fixing games and lost everything. Gang boss Sang Ha runs a money lending business and a gambling location. He makes Yi Hwan work for him. Meanwhile, Yi Hwan falls for bar owner Yeon Soo.
