Even though the plots are different, both stories take place on a college campus. The characters of the respective dramas get to know each other in a natural way and become lovers that break-up. In the end, they do get back together--a happy ending. Most of all, both stories depict the growing pains of young adults and how these experiences and people form their identities.

It has the same mellow feel and realistic ups and downs of a relationship. If you enjoyed Something in The Rain and the feeling of a mature love then this will be a perfect match for you.

Both focus on a set of roommates during college. Each have characters with distinct personalities, problems they face, and romances. The relationships built between the roommates in Age of Youth feel similar to the ones of Exclusive Memory.
Also, both have some really cute romance!

Stoic Male lead
Cute Bubbly female leads
Side character stories are cute and offer sufficient development to the main plot.

Somewhere only we know is also about a group of dormmates who are just figuring things out....It has alot of similarities with 'Be Yourself' but in my opinion, SOWK feels a lot more mature.

SIMILARITIES
1. It has the whole different love interest aspect...
2. The rich girl who has a strained relationship with her dad...
3. The guy one of the FL's loves loving one of the other girls in the dorm...
4. the completely clueless and mostly spoiled by the other doormates girl...

To be honest I prefer SOWK a little more because it feels a lot more realistic and the friendships seemed more genuine.

Both dramas are slice of life Cdramas about young girls who share an apartment/dorm and bond over the sorrows and successes of love and life. Somewhere Only We Know is more college centered and has more romance.

Somewhere Only We Know is different in that it's more of an enemies-to-lovers type story, but the Li Ting Ting's character in this drama and in Somewhere Only We Know are very similar. Additionally, there is a lot of character development in the side characters, which makes it an even more enjoyable drama to watch.
