So if you like to watch dramas with different familys and how their kids grade have an impact on their life well it's a great drama. I love when the main kids do something nice to each other the parents are like "my kid is to young to date and fall in love!" This is a very well put together drama which spanned 4 main families with children attending high school sitting for university entrance examination. No dramatic scenes, just normal things which families face with their marriage, family life, school life, work life, etc. It practically covered everything you could imagined and how these families dealt with it.
What is sweet about it, was that at the end of each episodes each actor/actress take turned to share their life experiences.
Miao Miao (main female lead) plays a very immature 18 years old which on occasion, she seems mature on how she dealt with some life matters. The ending is OK, seems to be slotted for a season 2 release to explain their life at university.

The ending is fine, but it's very logic and expected. High school romances usually always end up this way. Couples depart to different cities with their memorizes still connecting them. I never expected Miao Miao and San Yi to be together because how they want their future to be.The ending is fine, but it's very logic and expected. My favorite high school c-drama of all time

If you haven't watched this drama yet, I strongly suggest that you do. If you're stressed out right now, and need to watch something light and enjoyable, this drama is for you. I've watched this for at least 8 times, and I never get bored of it. It is a realistic and relatable drama that doesn't include storylines that are too exaggerated. But, if you want to watch a romance drama that includes lots of hugging, kissing, holding hands, etc., then this drama is not for you. I mean, this is just a realistic drama about high schoolers, so what do you expect?

BEST YOUTH AND FAMILY C-DRAMA OF 2019! (psss: you can have high expectations!)

So I watched both season 1 and 2 back to back and I had a blast even though I had more things to worry about my life! This is certainly one of the most down to earth kind of quality C-drama that is rarely produce in China now due to their restless market.

What I really love about the production is the fact that they kept the story very close to our real daily life and include a lot of current affairs related to our ever changing society and education system. Even the depiction is very real of how Lin Miao Miao engrossing herself into becoming a internet celebrity after realising she could make money like this too right before the moment of their university entrance exams which is super important for the students in China...

Another would be the unknown sacrifices the parents made for their kids and many of times, is not appreciated by the kids thinking the parents forced them too much. But I think that's the reality of gap that exist everywhere... When we are young, we never understood why our parents kept pushing us to do what we don't like/ not good at but once we grew up and start to step out of our safety net to see the real working world, we realised why our parents were so obsessed with sculpting us into what they hope for. Well I do understand there are parents who take things to extremely but most of the parents are indeed doing it because they don't wish for us to be at an disadvantage.

Another point is that I love how the four friends slowly understanding each other's pain and past scars. As I watched, I realised that all four of them actually had pulled each other up when one is suffering and the subtle care they had for each other...

One thing I learnt myself after meeting people of all sorts, true friends will always try to lend a helping hand or give you a push when they saw you may need it even if we do not contact each other in a long time, whereas so called "friends" will only be there in good peaceful times and turn all quiet when you reach out to them. I always hate those "friends" who are like social butterflies and always in huge groups... Not that they are bad people but they can never focus on one person much less a sincere heart to heart talk.

Super HIGHLY recommend to anyone who has not watch! It's really been long time since a drama that doesn't contain any filler scenes and idiotic plots... Though this season does not touch on romance yet but you can expect a lot in season 2!

good storyline and acting

this drama shows the life of families in china taking their gaokao. i felt the drama was good overall and portrayed the lives of a typical family in china.
pros: 1. there was good character development and all the actors did a good job.
2. the story was well developed and moved at a good pace, there wasn’t once where i felt it was too rushed or to draggy.
3. there are many things you can takeaway from this drama
cons: 1. if you aren’t the kind who likes to watch people’s lives then this isn’t the drama for you as it may get really boring

Just kinda ok, but overall boring and too long

I enjoyed some aspects of this drama, seeing different house holds and how they deal with their kids growing up, about 4 different kids dealing with high school and how each of them deals with it, how they navigate interpersonal relationships, how they handle crushes and deal with parents expectations. It also deals with the parents and all the things they deal with, but honestly i wasn't all to interested in this part.
I honestly some times found Lin Miao Miao to be bratty and annoying, she does have her moments tho, and there are some aspects i like about her character, she is so fun and extroverted and is not embarrassed to be herself. I don't have much to say about the other characters, they're fine I guess, there's the pretty one, the top studded stereotype who is handsome, the more laid back and sporty one, I like all they're story lines fine. The parents have they're own issues to deal with, honestly wasn't all to interested in their story lines, maybe i am way too young to relate.
Over all just ok, some good things some bad things, its just too long and hard to keep watching because of how boring it gets, if you liked it good for you, for me it was just not something I found enjoyable or what I wanted it to be, but I wouldn't really recommend it, I would say there are so many other better dramas out there.
