Overall, this drama is a fun to watch and not boring, for having me to watch it until the end, although I fast forward some parts, which I think is not needed. This drama I feel should have done good with just 24 episodes, but all in all it keeps my curiosity and interest to finished this and know which of the main characters end up with.

This drama has great actors read more and actresses. They did their job well, especially the one who acted out the character of the fake In Joo, which I think she did justice to the role because I hated her character too much. As for the 3 main leads, Seong Yoo-Ri, Lee Sang Woo, and Joo Sang Wook, they all did well, although I can say that the writer should have put more depth on JSW character as Jae Ha, such as giving us some background on Jae Ha's childhood on why he grew up with his grandmother, where are his parents, etc, in that way we could have had more empathy and connection with his character, unlike the character of Do-Yoon. Maybe that is why I feel more connected with the character of Do-Yoon aka "Haemil" and leans more towards the love angle between Do-Yoon/Haemil and Joong-Ho.

Furthermore, although I least expect the ending of the drama and quite dissatisfied with it, too much open ended and not enough closure on the characters, overall it is still a good drama to watch.

The story is so much more than just two women chefs going through competitions. The two women are Do Hee and Seol Hee. They compete to become Master Chef and Seol Hee not only cheats but locks her son in a closet and he ends up dead. Do Hee and her family go on a ship where there is an accident and her child is lost at sea. Do Hee can't face read more it and while they are looking for her lost child they find another child that she claims as her own. That child has lost her mother at sea also...Yeon Woo then becomes Ha In Joo.

22 years later

Well, there are 32 episodes to explain what happens when the original In Joo is found. I don't know if they needed that many...plus the ending leaves a lot to be desired. The story is ok, but it really isn't anything new.

The acting is very good. All of the main actors do a great job and even the secondary actors are no joke. I really like Sung Yu Ri as an actress. Joo Sang Wook and Lee Sang Woo are great actors and excellent eye candy. Seo Hyun Jin does a great job of making you feel sorry for her and hate her at the same time...but by the end you realize that she has been mentally messed with her whole life so what can you expect from a person like that.

The music is excellent in this drama. Even if you don't watch this drama you should look up Lee Seung Chul's Did You Forget? and listen to it. It is great!!!

As for the rewatch value. I wouldn't watch it a second time because it is so long.

Overall I think this was a pretty good drama. Not the best I have ever seen, but it doesn't suck.

In both series there's someone that pretends to be someone else. One of the various differences: (imho) "Feast of the Gods" is more dramatic.

Both dramas center around the fate of two persons whose identities were switched.

Usually I don't enjoy dramas in kitchen/restaurant settings because of the heavy bullying that goes on but I gave this one a try as some friends had recommended it. I have to say that the aspects that I enjoyed most were the settings, i.e. the wonderful costumes, the dishes that were prepared and the suited background music. As far as the story is concerned, I found it a little bit overdramatic at times and a little unrealistic in some parts, however it was well acted and it kept me interested during all the episodes. I was happy with the ending for most aspects although what I can never understand in Korean dramas is how attitudes and characters can change so easily. In any case it was a pleasant watch and I really would have liked to taste many of the dishes shown here.

I have just finished episode 16 and wondering would Jun Young and Jae Ha would end up together. I'd really hate it if this couple breaks-up later. :/

For a thirty two episode drama, the romance was lacking. Go Joon Young could have done a better job expressing her feelings towards Kim Do Yoon.

Great drama! After reading comments I was somewhat afraid of the ending, but everything turned to be a real happy end. Worth watching and finishing all of 32 series.

This drama although wasnt perfect and not that unique it changed my mind about melodramas. They can actually be fun and enjoyable. Loved it and love Lee Sang Woo <3 at first I was rooting for Sang Wook but I totally fell in love with Sang Woo (I even wanted Jae Ha to go away and leave joon young and do yoon to it!) definitely going to follow his dramas!

The ending was not horrible, yet it was still an ending that I felt I wasted so many hours watching just to come away disappointed that there was no definite happy ending. It was too open ended, even if it was a brief moment of reunion. How are the audience to conclude that he didn't end up leaving the next day and they go their separate ways in life? Wasted this sad viewer's time with that kind of ending. :(

Is this not pretty much Baker King, Kim Tak Goo all over again only with a woman? I'm not sure if I am going to finish this one.
