Heartwarming episodes this segment "District of Happiness", not only because it has Xiao Zhan in them, but they were really emotional. As someone already said below, these two episodes depicted a slice of the day-to-day life and how we all struggled to pass through the first days of the pandemic when it first started. The fear, the unknown, the helpers who gave us a hand to go through it safely, etc. I lost a parent on the first 2 weeks of the pandemic back in March, and watching as the doctor was carried away by the ambulance while the community was cheering for him from their windows has made me tear up really bad. I remember my country singing from the windows while segregated in our homes during the quarantine, it was hard to watch and remember.
To all the detractors of this beautiful show, you should stop your negativity and give this a watch before spreading any more nonsense. This really deserves to be watched by everyone. Highly recommended series.
I will continue watching, and of course I will re-watch when english subs will come out.

Emotional, Heartwarming, & Heroic

Was excited to try this drama out because it discusses the COVID-19 pandemic in China, but it also relatable to my life because the entire world is fighting against this virus right now. The first episode started off pretty alright but the following stories are what convinced me to keep watching. The soundtrack for this drama is also very touching; it just hits you in the right spots during certain scenes. Some stories are not very dramatic and interesting since it is based on the real situation that happened in Wuhan when the virus hit, but it touches your heart in a special kind of way. I would recommend anyone to watch because it really makes you realize that that medical personnel are true heroes.

What I liked:
1. Great soundtrack
2. Splendid cast- very talented senior and junior actors/actresses in the different stories who played the emotions very well
3. Very emotional parts/heartwarming parts- the bowing and saluting just hit me in a special way; It's amazing what these doctors, nurses, volunteers are doing for the country; everyone is just working together
4. Stories- most of them were good although some were more interesting than others; they all however did cover a different situation that occurs to the people in Wuhan (My favorites were the mother-in-law/daughter-in-law one, the doctor/nurse couple, and the truck driver ones)

Disliked:
1. Not anything in particular, just that some stories were less interesting to watch compared to others

Bless and honor all of frontline personnel fighting the pandemic!

Though not watching on CCTV and without subs, most of it is pretty common sense, I'll rewatch on the 23rd once the subs go up. The 8th episode with the doctor who got ill and the entire co-op was yelling "Jiayou" brought tears to my eyes. Not going to lie that I came to watch for Zhan and though he only had 5 minutes of the entire two episodes, his interaction with others were very cute. This mini-series is to honor all those on the frontlines fighting this pandemic. G-d bless them all. May all of their courage be a blessing to everyone because we have to remember we are one world, one people under one sky.

Worth watching them.

Thank you CCTV for making these drama/films. I watched all the previous episodes including the latest one where Xiao Zhan is (Ep 7 and 8). I woke up at 4:30am PDT just to watch it live broadcast at CCTV to show my support for Xiao Zhan. All the episodes are very touching and inspiring. It is amazing to see how the community help each other to beat this pandemic. I am so grateful to all the health workers, doctors, nurses, common citizen, soldiers and everyone involved to help each other during this crisis. It takes a community to overcome and control this pandemic. These films teach us how to live harmoniously, loving one another, helping each other out and stand together as a community. Every one in the world is going through this crisis and these film continues to remind all of us how to handle issues and beat this pandemic.
It is so nice to see Xiao Zhan. He portrays Cai Ding's character and really hit the spot. His acting is so natural, the way he interacts with his mother in the story. I can't wait to see him more in his upcoming 3 films.
Congratulations to CCTV for making these films! Let's spread positivity and love!

The Untold Stories of Everyday Heroes at the Epicenter that will Touch One's Heart

Real stories of nurses, doctors, and ordinary everyday heroes, in a time of turmoil, risked their lives, stood together against the odds to fight the pandemic for a safe and better tomorrow for everyone. A cast of great actors realistically retold the heart-breaking and heart-warming stories of tragedy, human nature, relationships, and resilience.

I highly recommend this series and believe that each and everyone of us can relate to a few topics in the storylines as we have all experienced this pandemic in one way or another, some more closely impacted than others. A big shout out to the medical profession and all healthcare workers around the world.

Great portrayal of how covid 19 affect us

The story is very heartwarming, it shows how in the face of the pandemic, everyone need to learn to let go of their own selfishness and think collectively as a community. The actor and actresses portrayal is very close to reality. Overall a great story! Its very touching when strangers from the medical community choose to leave their own family tomserve their country and fellow citizens. Its shows their sacrifice and dedication to their occupation. I have new admiration for the medical community!

An Encouraging Drama!

This drama based on real-life stories from Chinese people while they were grappling with the novel coronavirus and centers on ordinary people from various walks of life, including medical workers, nurses, drivers and volunteers, who risked their lives to join the frontline against the deadly disease. It shows how common people can help stop the spread of the Coronavirus and how ordinary people can make a difference during this difficult time! The series chronicles seven individual stories that demonstrate the spirit of unity and solidarity of the Chinese people. You can find it on the CCTV1 category on the CCTV website. I'm not too sure if international platforms will translate it but it will be live on app and TV! Definitely recommend checking the drama and give people around you some encouragement! Xiao Zhan is also in this drama in episodes 3 and 4 if I'm not mistaken! Let's beat the Coronavirus!

A story that shows the difficulties of the crowd

Thousands of people suffered from the new virus, many did not have a chance to survive. The tears shed are countless, sadness and uncertainty live in each of the affected countries. I am very happy to see China share how the epidemic happened. For the past few months we have been focused on combating Covid-19 and public health, nothing is more important.
The world economy has been affected and many people have struggled. The media, social networks, news, even conversations between friends repeatedly talked about the subject and sometimes, when we got tired of talking about sadness and concerns as a subject, people would listen to a song, watch a series or movie, tell a joke funny to cheer up, chat online about how much they missed the most common things, in short, they tried to be positive and improve their mood.
I believe that in China it was the same thing, I am satisfied with what I am watching. The scenes convey real feelings. I'm looking forward to the next episodes.

A Very Important Drama about the human struggles in the midst of the Coronavirus epidemic

This is such a important series that everyone should watch as it deals with the human struggles in the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic. This drama is a must watch in my opinion and the amazing actor Xiao Zhan will be featured in later episodes. This show features the Heroes on the front lines as well as everyday people trying to cope with and survive in extremely deadly pandemic. This is probably the most important series you should be watching. Xiao Zhan has the star quality and acting ability to become his generations greatest actor. Everyone in this cast has done a great job. This is a must watch!

The first pandemic cdrama!!!

I’m so excited for this drama! This is very relatable because we all been quarantined but China looks worse then other countries for some families. I heard the casts make this drama without any income or money. This is informative. From the scene I see that it’s emotional and family slice of life in difficult times. I’m a fan of Xiao Zhan, his acting in the untamed was phenomenal and I’m sure this be the same whatever role he play. I’m looking forward to this drama and his new drama on ‘the oath of love’. His hard work and dedication will prove his strength.
