Way too rushed or this would've been better

I was casually checking up for Ding Yuxi's upcoming works on his MDL profile page and came across this movie… the synopsis sounded interesting so I thought of checking it out… but wait what a blunder!

Having read the synopsis I knew this was gonna be a bit of rollercoaster and sad stuff… and it literally went like that… the plot moves with the speed of light, almost 3×10^8 m/s … that's the biggest complain I have here… they don't give you any time to adjust with the changes or understand the characters… the twist are like this, one thing happened, next this happens, then that and that…

the movie is 1 hour 44 minutes long, I wish it was at least 2.5 or 3 hours long… I won't mind the length but the story will be delivered better in that way.

Then they didn't even care to explain us the medical terms and elaborate us about the twists… I see they're crying but give me a reason to cry along with them… Tbh, the story isn't very bad as it seems, the only issue is the execution only if they showed us some basic character build up or some scenes related before verbally saying all the twists…

despite that some small scenes in between with the main leads that are barely of 1-2 minutes each are cute… as a cute pair they look great together but what a waste that the execution sucked… the only thing I am satisfied with is acting… I really hope the same leads work together for a better script… they deserve better…

from the OST lineup… I liked —
♪Accompany you♪ (sang by Yu Jiayun)
♪Ten years of smoke♪ (sang by Tang Hanxiao).

All in all, I don't recommend this to anyone. If you haven't watched any works of the cast before, please refer to their other works before cause this isn't the choice for a first impression.

Too Fast Paced...

I have not read the book so I can't comapre one to the other. I was intrested since I just saw the trailer and like Ryan Ding sine I saw him in Just an Encore.

The movie is too fast paced that even if I would feel emotionally invested I lost the feeling way too fast too.

The ML and FL were roommates of some sort. She is staying at his home because of issues with her family. They are neoghbors and the ML is the friend of her brother. In the course of them livig toether they fall in love but because the ML had some issues wiyhbhis family too he disappears for 7 years.

Years later he comes back and try to win her back and almost didn't get her back. And when he does get her back fate hands them a death blow. They both suffered apart got back together only to suffer again What a load of crap!

I'd say this is a waste of the talent of the people here some I have seen in other works and know how they could deliver and another thing the osts are too good for the movie. So sad that this was poorly written.

Rewatch value is a 0 for me. No matter how much I like Ryan this does not work for me. It is not a wate of time and they made the ending a happy ending but in fact it's not.

Quite hard for me to give score to this. Because I quite like the story, but I also quite hate this kind of story....

For me the dependency between Wen Heng (WH) & Yan Xi (YX) quite hard to grab. OK maybe they just find the right person at the right time. Like when WH just find new environment & family, where she still not belong, YX give her place of belong or their word 'home'. But being depressed & wait for him to come back all that years kinda BS. And after that the turn over kinda too fast too....

And also YX being depressed & got PTSD just because he see his mom suicide is also kinda BS. & the time he need to recover himself quite long.... I more buy the story in the drama summary, where YX got cancer & have to go to America. It's better I think

Yeah I know this is a movie & everything kinda happen so fast. Really hopping I can watch the drama version & finger cross the drama cast won't disappoint me.

Short but meaningful

He is the reason I watched this film. I can't believe I sobbed while watching this movie. Ding Yu Xi deserves to appear in more roles and films. He is a superb actor. The moment with his friends at the beach telling his last instructions is my favorite. Not to spoil the movie, but it is the scene where I couldn't hold back my tears and started sobbing! This is one of the saddest movies I saw this year, yet I won't give it a perfect 10 because it made me cry ugly tears! Plot is good but the movie itself feels like it has been squeezed to 1hr and 45mins. If a lengthy movie implies that every scene will be explained, I don't mind. But that's part of the appeal of some movies—they allow the audience interpret the situations from their point of view.

Overall, the movie is brief but poignant. It encourages you to value others around you. Please all be reminded! Tell the people you care about, "I love you."

Would I recommend this movie? Yes! I don't mind having another viewer cry ugly tears :)

Can't understand what the writer and director want for the storyline

I don't know where they want to take us in this film. I understand the outline of this film but for some reason the storyline is too weird because the plot is too complicated and fast

i can feel the frustated feeling in Ding Yu Xi and Ren Min act and how hurt they are but i also can feel how sad when fate need to break them apart again
somehow i hate fate too, some fate can not be change but some can, i wish the have happy and woderfull life before that fate come

I don't know what to write it because it's too complicated to pronounce but if you want to watch this because of Ding Yu Xi or Ren Min, I can only recommend seeing the acting in this film. but if you want to watch and understand and explore the story, I don't really recommend it
but for me, i would rewatch it to see the development of acting from Ding Yu Xi

it's all depend on you, which side you want to watch, the story or the actor/actress

I'm not sure why it made into a movie, not sure what the director's vision of it. So boring.

Ten Years of Loving You is a Romantic comedy starring Ren Mi and Ding Yu Xi. I wonder why it was made and released.

Nothing original or exceptional about the plot, and the acting could be better, especially Ren Mi.

Synopsis: At 17, Wen Heng, an adopted child, was finally found by her biological parents and brought back to the family home in Beijing. This heartwarming story explores the challenges of adjusting to a new family dynamic, a situation many of us can relate to. However, tensions arise when her adopted sister feels threatened by her presence and starts throwing tantrums. To maintain family harmony, Wen Heng is asked to move into a family friend's house next door.

There, Wen Heng meets Yan Xi, and the two embark on a journey of self-discovery and friendship as they live together and go to school together. But this idyllic life is soon disrupted, as Yan Xi has to return to America to be with his sick mother, leaving Wen Heng to face new challenges and grow as a person.

My Reviews:
- The story is dull and has little excitement.
- The acting could be better, especially in the case of Ren Mi.
- I watched it on YouTube, where the audio was silent for almost 1/2 of the movie; it was so bad that I didn't bother to finish it.

I gave it a 4.0 rating for the bad story and the acting ability of the entire cast.

Your love is killing me kr healing me….! cannot tell apart….!

oh my goddd, tears are still falling off my face as I write this…!
This movie is precisely something you would watch on a dark glommy rainy night or you are having a bad day and need to cry…!
not even a single scene of this movie went without me shedding tears…!
coming back to the plot….the story was amazing but the plot was a bit rushed, the caste was too good and this movie could have done wonders if only it was made a bit more skilfully making it into a masterpiece.
it’s a shame that a good plot was ruined…although the movie did not fail
to touch my heart…!
Overall, you
might give it a watch…
this is a one time watch, I ain’t watching it again…!
