I really missed the first season of Love Poison, it was fun and unique series, knowing there would be a sequel makes me more excited, I loved the plot, the actors, the music and most of all they showed us bariotic side of Thailand, it was refreshing (most of the BL's are taken in Bangkok).I was so glad I finished the entire 8 episodes in one sitting, I couldn't get my butt off from the couch until I finished it. I know some of you felt frustrated after seeing that there are changes in the characters, but still you can give it a try. I'm missing all of them now. 😔😔😔

Quite original background but boring storyline
Stupid synopsis, with girls playing the couple breakers and the lovers unable to talk with one another. Like in so many Thai dramas before P'New...But everything else was great : the action is set in the countryside, with many traditional-style songs ; the actors are handsome, played well, sang well, and kissed with a commitment rarely seen in other Thai BL ; and a happy ending.
Overall it was nice to watch, with some irritating moments. I think these moments spoil the show but, once you know that everything is going to be ok in the end, it's easier to be patient. Hence my "review", which is more a "Don't be discouraged, it's worth a try because of its originality!" than a review. I believe I will enjoy it more when I will watch it for the second time.

An Unpretentious Gem
While not as quirky as the first one, this series is so adorable filled with characters that I would WANT to know and hang out with. The story is a bit contrived and not as organic as the first Season, but in terms of sheer charm and enjoyment, it is just so entertaining. I loved the country charm and feel to it and surprisingly I even liked the music. (Generally, I find actors singing in these series annoying and awful but in this case, they were pretty good). Good season, but not great.
I did enjoy season one a little more than this season. In season 2 I felt was missing something. The new characters were good to add, but the females in this series did not do much and did not fit right in the story. I would have liked to see some storylines happen more than others that did. The mother and daughter in the series were a bore for me and were not needed. The teacher that was teaching music was a nice touch and was fun but wished he paired with someone else than the annoying girl at the end. This season lacked the flow and story that season one had. The music is fun and seeing 4 of the original cast come back is great to have as they do have chemistry and felt still a bit of a let-down.Was this review helpful to you?

A setback from the prequel.The acting haven't been improved much (or at all). The plot is still silly and rushed, as the prequel, and the misunderstanding between the main characters, which may be the main focus in this season, is quite stretchy. I ended up skipping a lot. On the bright side, music is still good and there are more songs now. The scenery of countryside is still as beautiful as ever, and the wild grass picked by Tak is a common and familiar type of grasses in the suburban area where I live, so it's a pleasant welcome.
All in all, I think it's a setback from the previous one, but still not bad.

I was in shock to learn that a second season was made to Love Poison, which I adored for the unique storyline that I wouls usually see in the Western world compared to that in Thai BL. So, with that, I went in this second season to see what uniqueness/ originality would be shown. Story-5/10
I got highly disappointed aa the originality from the first season is gone and I am being introduced to clichés that you can find in like any other Thai BL. Lack of communication as well as a third party liking one of the person's in the second couple was predominant in this season. It irked me. What I loved about the first season was gone.
Acting-8/10
For the first season I gave it a 7 for Tak and his friends (who are not in this season, unfortunately). This season, I must say that everyone's acting has improved vastly, so I will give them an 8.
Music-5/10
I just felt overwhelmed with the amount of music in this season. Like it's at least one to two songs per episode. Made me feel like if I am watching a Disney musical with the way they sometimes just burst out singing.
Rewatch Valu-4/10
Here what? I do not have the urge to watch this series again. If I had to choose between season one or tow to watch- I'll watch season two. It drew me in and entertained me more.
Overall-5.5/10
This got a lower grade compared to the first season of Love Poison. And I know why. The uniqueness/ originality that the first season had- this did not have it. Which was such a damn shame.

Eu senti muuuuuita falta do cast de love poison, todos são muito carismáticos e o formato da serie é bom. eu não tenho problema algum com series de estúdios pequenos eu até gosto mais porque elas passam de uma forma melhor a realidade, mas alguns erros aconteceram nessa temporada. A verdade é que a serie é boa e te diverte muito e os produtores e diretores tinham tudo na mão pra fazer essa segunda temporada decolar, atores que já estão sendo bem reconhecidos, uma boa base como a primeira temporada mas não aconteceu, foram muitos alívios cômicos, erros nas filmagens. As filmagens e a atuação são o ponto chave que precisavam melhorar, deu pra perceber muitas vezes os atores sem saber o que fazer ou simplesmente deixando claro que a cena tinha acabado e eles estavam perdidos, o que por si só é engraçado mas poderia ter sido melhorado, eu assistiria de novo se pudesse só ver as cenas deles tentando se beijar mesmo . No geral love poison 2 é muito boa, conseguiram substituir o ator por um que atua no mesmo nível que o outro e eu achei maravilhoso alguns atores de 7/11 e outras series terem entrado nessa temporada, foram extremamente engraçados e fizeram com que o enredo ficasse mais engraçado ainda. O que falar da química de teng e ko? incríveis, incríveis, incríveis! nota 10, o casal secundário também não fica pra trás, muito bons também. ost é cantada por todos eles e é muito boa espero ver todos eles decolarem na indústria, a high school musical tailandesa merece muito reconhecimento!Was this review helpful to you?
