Side Story of Fox Volant (2022)

Similarities:
-Wuxia
-Multiple sects vying for power.
-both MLs start off as immature kids/teens and slowly learn through the course of the series how to be men. But always have a heart set on justice.
-Misunderstandings that take a bit of time to iron out but worth it in the scheme of things.
-Great martial arts battles.

Fox volant is a bit more serious and has more of the classic wuxia story and many fight scenes but starting at ep 6 the leads come in and reminds me of the chemistry and main couple in WRTW. Fun, strong and cool characters fighting against injustice if solving cases

I recommend this both drama because , Male lead and Female lead
try to solve problem

-Multiple sects vying for power plus the imperial court involved somehow.
-Great martial arts skills and fights.
-Smart and savvy leads, with contingency plans and payback strategies.
-Romance make small appearances.
-Plot in one way or another revolves around getting revenge and/or uncovering mysteries.
-Friendship and comedy are both important.

It's also written by Jin Yong, and the style is really similar. It's also overall a really good show compared to some of the other adaptations of Jin Yong's works.

Another recent Jin Yong adaptation with great martial arts, good casting, a plot about foreign invaders and different sects fighting one another.

it's the prequel of this drama as it tells a story of one family from the same era and the same composition of the story
they are technically connected plot wise
both have martial arts too in the same era

Similarities:
-Great martial arts/Wuxia skills.
-Multiple sects vying to be the best in the world.
-Great friendships established by MLs and others.
-Palace politics and all the plots behind them.
-Beautiful scenery, OSTs, costumes, etc.

Similar Wuxia story remakes with some same faces like Lin Yu Shen in both. Adventure, some romance and ties from the past generation to the future too

Both dramas are wuxia, though set in a different times. When I began watching SSOFV it made me think of the eight. I find that the leads and supporting cast have a similar dynamic. Both dramas are fairly dark and the male lead does suffer a lot. Both male leads seek justice and have a strong sense of right and wrong. If you liked one then you will like the other one.

The main reason I recommend this is that both dramas are good wuxia and the have some shared themes. the overall arc of the male leads are similar in my opinion. if you are looking for another good wuxia, then look no further.
