I don't think I'll see you again

This show's plot is paper thin and it is quite predictable. It pretty much played in one sandpit for the whole show with passable production values. There is little nuance or growth to the characters and their romantic developments are on rails.

All the usual youth romantic drama tropes are present; love at first sight, crushes, envy and fated meeting as kids. The plot regarding the FL's Prosopagnosia is poorly represented and not really explored. It is just used as a device for minor gags or token angst until the ML shows up as her knight in shining armour.

As expected, the plots are factory standard issue and the pairing of the protagonists are obvious from the start. It is just a matter of getting over the meet-cutes, push-pulls and failed confessions. Sadly, there is scant chemistry between the three CP's which netted a token amount of skinship. I get the OTP pairing (fated and all) but the other two pairs are hardly match made in heaven. What is more concerning are the weird editing, disjointed narrative and phantom side plots that literally appears for a few scenes and then forgotten. Choppy is a good way to describe this show.

Acting from the young leads are passable. They are energic but prone to overact. I have seen worse and they do try. The support cast is another story. Most are no better than extras handed a couple of lines of dialogue and it shows. I do wonder if the production company approached a local college to do a collaboration and held an open call for extras and bit parts. There is certainly no shortage of extras for many scenes.

The plot twist towards the end was totally contrived and unnecessary. It did manage to pad out the runtime significantly so job done. The HEA ending rolls in as expected. The final scenes after the big time skip feel amateurish and rushed.
If you are interested in a drama about Prosopagnosia, try The Secret Life of My Secretary. So, so much better.

This is a messy and unengaging filler. One time watch for me. Peace out.

Cliches done wrong...

I personally love the face blindness trope and find myself watching many shows with this plot point. I haven't seen any when the female lead had face blindness, so I immediately wanted to watch this show, but upon watching it I was thoroughly disappointed.

Let's talk about the plot. I feel like this drama used every misunderstanding cliche possible and failed to make it work. There was no suspense to this, it just seemed like they wanted to fill up a certain amount of episodes. The leads did not really have much chemistry, it was basically the male lead is in love with the female lead and the female lead is just there. For a good majority of the show, it was mainly one-sided. (even when they were in a relationship)

That aside let's talk about the face blindness situation. Honestly, it did not need to be in the show. It was just a minor detail and was only necessary to plot when the female leads classmates ostracized her for having it. After that, the show did not make much of it. It was also very unclear whether or not the female lead, Lin Hui, had overcome it. There is a point in the show when she is staring at the male lead's picture and creating a figurine of him. But it is never disclosed if she can really see people or not.

The acting was also flat. Im not sure if that is how her character is, but Duan Ao Juan did not give any personality to the character she was playing. Chen Bo Hao did alright, but nothing breathtaking. The acting in general just felt like it was missing something

The production quality for this show is just terrible. Some episodes start off completely different the how the other episodes ended. There was a point where there was a random chemical explosive and no explanation was given on how we got there. The episodes were just incongruent. And the dubbing quality is harsh. If seen many dramas dubbed, but for this one, the syncing was off and it sounded like the characters were behind me.

A girl who can recognize people's face

this drama is wayy too boring, there is nothing really interesting about this drama. The leads dont have much chemistry.

The female lead has a syndrome where she cant recognize people's face, because of this she was bullied from when she was young. When she was young a little boy help saved her and she has always remember that person despite remembering his face.

Fast forward she is now in college.. She wins an award for a photography contest. She is accused of copying someone elses photo, this is when the male lead come and saves her. I dont like the fact that in college there were people trying to bully her and make fun of her... The female lead doesnt have much development....

nothing particular stands out... and i dont even ship their romance...

Adorable Youth Romance

If you are looking for a drama with an amazingggg plot, this probably isn't for you. This drama wasn't made for its incredible plot line that will keep you invested every episode and wondering what's going to happen next. If that's what you want, choose something else. So for the people that are saying that it's weak in plot; they aren't wrong, but that doesn't deduct from the overall enjoyability of this drama.

This is a very enjoyable youth romance. That's it. That's all it is. So if you are looking for something simple that will make you laugh and smile, this is the drama for you. I think the leads pair great together. The ML is a total green flag. The side couples just add to the drama. There's no breakups or any dilemmas that will make the viewers worry. So it's nice to sit back and relax and enjoy the show.

Overall, this drama is so under rated and needs more hype. Is this everyone's cup of tea? No. Is it going to be the most amazing romance drama you've seen? Probably not. But, if you don't want a show that will stress you out over the drama, or plot twists, and just want to enjoy a sweet romance, then give this a watch.

CDrama 101

All the typical tropes are there, from the beginning to the very end...cringy and cheesy lines etc. etc. School setting but their romance and friendships are quite mature compared to other shows, as in there is trust and communication between the lovers. Conflict resolves quickly. A good filler show, this feels as if this is a "practice show" for a new director. But surprisingly I did enjoy the characters and keep watching despite it being so predictable. Probably no rematch value unless you fancy any of the actors there.

don't ever dream of seeing me again

This drama rewatch value is only one time the character devolopment is good although they are budding actors i can say that acting of them is pretty decent but some scenes cringed me but it's okay the great explanation of this drama is chopped film
i think if there is more scenes in this drama it will be more likeable but story development was poor too because they didn't showed the reason behind the female leads Prosopagnosia

there is few skinships too side actors have more screen time than male leads

Predictable fast-food like youth c-drama

At Decheng Technical University (fictitious), set near Xiamen and its well-known twin towers raised like gigantic 58-stories high surfboards close to shore, Lu Hui (Duan AoJuan), a face-blind student, is starting another year together with her best friend, bespectacled Zhen Fanxing (Kuliko Shen). Lu Hui often takes photos of young men’s walking, backs turned to her, in the hope of finding a long-lost savior boy from her childhood, and wins a prize with one such picture, submitted by Jiang Yiming (Lu YunFeng), the president of the photography club, whose almost same age niece Guo Jiajia (Zhang Xinyi) leads the News club. Two young guys, handsome and athletic Lang Chenzhou (Chen Bohao), and his cutely bespectacled cousin Lang Youlang (Xiong Wenwen) join these clubs…. The story, from then on, is very predictable, and despite some choppy editing, it could have even been further reduced in episodes. The students are shy, can’t get together swiftly, don’t dare even to kiss, until last episodes. Still, the drama amusingly ends on an encouragement for one couple to have three children in 5 years (yes, the message is that China has turned its back on the one-child policy for a while, and urges young couples to alleviate the greying of its population, together with being more accepting of some physical or cognitive defects, such as prosopagnosia, i.e. face blindness).

There is not much more to say.

The actors are not very well-known, most have hitherto only played support roles in some other dramas, except Zhang Xinyi, who was FL in unremarkable “Warm Time With You” but is playing a rather annoying and insensitive part here; and Lu Yunfeng who had a number of roles including a few ML ones in other unremarkable dramas, and is perhaps best remembered for his short guest role as Xia Xue / "Snowing" ['King of Glory' professional player] (Ep. 13-14) in “You Are My Glory”. He also has support roles in recent “Song of the Moon” and in “Insect Totem”. 26-year-old ML Chen Bohao, a graduate of the Beijing Film Academy, has a pretty face which will appear again in upcoming “Till The End Of The Moon” as supporting actor, and in four other upcoming dramas. 22-year old Duan Ao Juan is a singer, born in Chengdu, Sichuan. She was a “member of Rocket Girls 101 (火箭少女101), which debuted in June 2018 and disbanded in July 2020”. This is her third screen appearance, except for TV entertainment shows.

Hidden ads are not hilariously obvious. This drama is probably going to be boring and unsatisfactory for many, despite the cute childish green or blue rimmed clear glasses of Lang Youlang (the production did not dare throw in rose-hued ones…). Having just changed my own to nylon-thread rimmed light sensitive lenses turning to purple color, complementing the deep red temples and bridge, I was musing whether finally I should instead have dared a flashy green rim in cat-eye form? Anyway, this was an OK show to watch while waiting in the car, on a long weekend. No surprises and not too much excitement. Just like for a serving of bland fast food. There are some jiaozi pictured at one moment, and this reminded me that the CNY celebrations are still on, until Lantern festival this weekend. But I won’t re-watch this over the final bowl of sweetJust like for a serving of bland fast food.
