A supernatural series that focuses on creatures and bizarre happenings surrounding a statue as well as folklore.

Though both are two different genres…. The feels are the same with similar small town setting and psychological suspense. Hometown is a psychological thriller based on a cult involving mass brainwashing and killing while Monstrous is a horror suspense with an evil spirit that turns humans into monsters by affecting their minds…

The Cursed and Monstrous are both about evil spirits possessing people. In The Cursed, there was also a giant Buddha that was possessed by a powerful evil spirit.

Same vibe. Both supernatural, defeating evil spirit, and have main characters that include a police officer.

It is similar since both dramas story plot is circled in a phenomena which it deals with strange objects and creatures from beyond the earth that will eventually enter earth to deal with humans plus the genre talks about supernatural, thrill and suspense.

Also this two dramas are both similar in terms of the occupations of the characters in the series how it will be interconnected with the evil spirits and mysterious phenomena

Same story. A group of people broke a seal and unleashed a demonic power that is now haunting people. Both dramas deal around shamanism, curses, demons and superstition.

Both dramas deal around;
- a married couple,
- something was released that is now infecting people,
- an area that is under lockdown,
- a group of people that managed to barricade themselves in a building and try to survive.

Both dramas deal around a mysterious Buddha statue that sets off multiple strange occurrences. Superstition, Shamanism, curses, zombies. These things offer both dramas and make a compelling watch.

people weak at heart and are way to emotional going on rampage. this one without turning into hideous monsters.

both shows have the same screenwriters .... look and feel is pretty much the same for both shows ..... worth watching
