Reporter Hiroko, goes to the provinces to do a report on some village. However, on the spot, the woman finds a terrifying sight - backward not only in terms of technology, but also mentally community, and two conflicting leaders who only use the entire village for their own benefit and profit. Hiroko tries her best to open the eyes of the villagers, but they refuse to listen to her. Things get even more complicated when Takumi, an orphaned boy and a woman's only friend in the village, develops dysentery. From then on, the woman not only tries to break the village from backwardness, but also is trying to save it from the deadly plague.
