Nueng Tawan Pun Dao (2005)

Dao was left in someone's care because her mother went to work in the city. But the caretaker lady treated Dao badly and her kids would mess with her. One day, Dao received a letter from her mother to come live with her, so she packed up her things and went to the city. After arriving at the bus station, she decided to wait for her mother to pick her up. But on the way there, her mother ended up getting in an car accident and died. So Dao waited and waited, but her mother never came and she didn't know about her mother's death, so she decided to not speak until her mother came. Dao ends up being taken in by a house servant who sees her at the bus station getting messed with by other little kids and assumes she's a mute. She ends up being a child servant of the household where Tawan lives with his step-sister Irene. Tawan is the only one nice to her and tries to make her feel welcome. He communicates with her through writings on papers and giving her a puppy golden retriever as a companion when he isn't there.
