Honest review about the show
Ok so listen I just finished with this tremendous dramatic drama + w the juiciest plot. This drama is so nice overall everything is just so perfect, it feels real it feels dramatic, it gives us the perfect rich vibes and the plot is just amazing and it never gets boring. Now what needs to be said: HUGE shoutout to the actors, literally they’re gorgeous, and their actor skills are amazing just simply because you can feel their feelings and you just feel nervous while watching this. Also the uncle is HOT ASF. What I didn’t liked about this show tho, is that Dong is so unbelievably stupid. I just can’t take that especially rich woman from dramas, always have to be THAT unbelievable brainless. It’s giving “lady useless rich woman” vibes. I agree that we obv have to keep her ladylike and fragile to add some spice and let the man help BUT she just never learnt her goddamn lesson and always had to make it worse and never even paid for her actions. She always just played the freaking victim and she couldn’t even freaking shoot a guy several times to save the guy she loved. She was useless and just made things worse. I mean why make out w the dude meanwhile U JUST SHOT HIM ONCE and it’s obv that he is not dead?! Also why u pretend to do what ur lover says but then do the opposite. I hate that woman always get categorized as weak but THIS WEAK?! to not even be able to shoot was the peak. She just bawled her eyes out and tried to do everything on her own. I feel like she believed everything they said. She just believed things without giving it a thought and acted recressly. The uncle was a goddamn god he loved and praised her even for her dumbest mistakes and even tho she STABBED him several times, he still trusted her and she can’t even shoot at a guy who is about to kill him?! This is so fucked up honestly. The uncle WAS the show. He carried honestly and was just the perfect landlord. He acted careful and respectful. That girl missed out Fr. I feel bad for his previous fiancé bc I mean imagine someone substitutes you w a maid ?. This show had so much potential. I wished the episodes would have been longer and that Dong would have used her brain at least at the end of the drama. Not everything needs a happy ending ofc but we could have avoided this big mistake. Also in the last episode she encounters a guard that looks like him? I didn’t quite got the ending. But also that the SIS was never sick?! Like girl why u just found out at the ending out of no where and w not before?! This could have been so useful. I also wish that they would have gone more into details like the map from the Dong family. The outfits and the locations tho are just so amazing ?. I definitely think this show is worth watching, simply because of the plot and the aestethic. Its just wonderful and perfect. I wouldn’t want to rewatch this show tho because It would desperate me asf but I mean for the uncle and the aestethic I would ?Was this review helpful to you?

Perfect but want season 2
Dai Gaozheng , the acting was so addictive . It was like I fell in love with fang tianyi . What an amazing plot and perfect scenes with miraculous chemistry and Charming look ...Male lead was so addicted ...I was so addicted to ever second ...I dont know how many scenes I replayed again and again . ..But the ending if he is alive they could have shown not if wedding scene then atleast a romantic so That viewers could have felt relieved...because every one of us is desperate to see them together . It would have been perfect icing on this cake .This is the favourite mini seires i have ever watched ..with minimum charactes it came out perfect ...I hope so there will be a season 2 ....#SEASON2 plzWas this review helpful to you?
it's a wonderful drama except the heart Breaking ending .
The whole drama,cast,acting everything is good enough. But I think the ending should be changed .Except the ending this drama deserve 10 out of 10.It should be a second season where we can see that the male lead was not died.The security who exactly looks like the male lead ,he should be the original male lead. when I watched the ending I thought it that the male lead was not died and he was kidding with the female lead.But I was shocked when I completed the drama.But it was too good.And I will wait for the second season .I hope in season 2 they will be together.Was this review helpful to you?
heartthrobing show <3
it's melodramatic and cliche in all ways but strangely enticing and addictive. keeps you hooked till the end even though you know damn well you've read tons of such stories in your angsty teens. but sometimes that's all you need. amazing cast. extremely. hot. male lead!!! i swear he is the most attractive actor i've ever seen!!! his charm and subtle seduction through the screen was to die for. loved and hated the ending. ml's death wasn't so necessary. but i liked the timeskip. fl gets badass and the rookie soldier omg that's such a great idea. so much potential for a 2nd season! im praying!!! i really want to see the story progress with fl and the rookie. excellent job for a mini series. it was my first cdrama, glad to have had such a wonderful experience.Was this review helpful to you?
The subs were saying it's chaotic outside and I was reading it's erotic outside.
This was so OTT that I couldn't help but love it! Like Mhiss A said in their review, it has a Lakorn vibe. It went to those dark corners that a cdrama wouldn't dare to go. You could say that this holds that aggressive ml feels that old timeys like Too late to say I love you or other Wallace Chung stuff usually had but not just. It has the Lakorn combo of ridiculousness plus spice which will not let you abandon it. Of course, you have to abandon your brain first and watch it completely with that one guilty abandon viscera of yours, and then you can fully enjoy this.The experience wouldn't be this good if the actors did a bad job. Besides the main leads' pretty decent acting and firecracker chemistry, the primary supporting characters were good too. I especially liked the mother/grandmother and the sister.
I had been passing on this drama for some time acting like a total snoot until I stumbled upon their latest work, forever love, and thought to give this a check first. I thought I was not ready for this live action counterpart of amazon self-published bookzillas, but the hell I am gonna be tracking all the upcomings from this genre (sub-genre). But they need to have the perfect proportion of hotness and hilarity without being a sex comedy. Like this.

AN AMAZING DRAMA

All Actors and Actresses in this CAST are amazing in their acting skills and deliverance.
Unfortunately, the real Villainess in this storyline are the Director and the Script Writer, they ended the life of the Governor in the last EP.
Save your tears, coz this Drama doesn't end well.
I don't know why people didn't like it this was a very well created drama and down to earth feeling not like after getting shot 5 times the MC would come back to life its just Amazing drama

Th e drama was going really well hut in some scenes I thought of different conclusion but the scenes in the drama were totally different but the thing is that everything about this drama - I LOVEDBut why did the lead die in the end I cried my heart out I was broken by the scene that I was depressed for about 2-3 months
My bestie really regretted suggesting this drama to me but I was happy except that one heart shattering scene...
After this drama a knew drama with same main lead cast has been brought out NAME- "Forever Love 2023", please do watch that drama, at least that drama has happy ending.

A passionate love story
Short episodes, to the point story.. no beating around the bush with unnecessary conspiracy .... packed with spicy romance and drama ...what else can you ask for ... I thoroughly enjoyed the republican era setting. lead actors had funtastic chemistry ..they literally delivered the best of their characters ... Not going to reveal any spoilers but the kissing scene ... My god ...so passionate ... Ladies you gonna skip a beat on every kissing scene you have my words ... HeheTotally worth watching especially if you are into those romantic passionate novels.

Burning Love
Not sure if it was the male lead Fang Tian Yu's 'caveman' approach to love, ravaging the female lead Ting Yao right from the start of the drama OR the mystery behind Tian Yu's nephew Fang Yu Ze OR the scheming ways of Ting Yao's half sister Yan Er that kept me interested, but I surprisingly finished watching this drama. Filled with a tacky script and corny scenes, this 30 episodes of 10 minutes each show filled up 5 hours easily for me. One also cannot deny that the 'burning' love between Tian Yu and Ting Yao is one of the most consistent demeanor that kept audiences glued to this drama. If 'burning love' (driven initially by revenge) is your cup of tea, then you will enjoy this drama.Was this review helpful to you?

Yes abs. The ML really give that dominating vibe, such a hottie x. x now I want to know more about his other dramas. The other character seems ok. The thing about this drama is it really lead the viewers in a confused state after watching.The writer should've hinted more regarding Tianyi's situation rather than putting some contrast character in the ending. Viewers may think that 'is he dead? ' 'did he lose his memory after being hit? "
Yes something like that but hnmm. The drama took me long to finish even if it only has a couple of mins per episode compared to other dramas haha

Several times heard this drama, really interesting after ??? ??? ?? ??? ???? ????????? by Kate - guilty pleasure of 2022 & discussion on the feeds. Haha.... Never expected this to be short drama, so that's why I finally just jump to watch this drama in the end. Haha...Yeah you can say this some kind of trash for some people, but definitely quite good quick story for me. They have story to tell, have beginning & also end, and definitely have some abs to look at. Haha...
But unfortunately the story lack a little bit. The moment Dong Ting Yao fall in love to Fang Tian Yi is a little bit blur. It just like it a sudden move from hate to love. Yeah I know he saved her. That's maybe the trigger. But the feeling is not too clear. Maybe because this is only quick drama, if they have longer duration the feeling can elaborate more and more.
Well in the end this is just another quick & short drama to pass your time....

A mini revenge series but without the mini's flaws
Watched on viki (mini, compacted in 8 ep.)Very catchy historical drama (although I don't like the FL very much :( ) but the ML is TOP (Dai Gao Zheng = hot and intense) and ML2 is absolutely hateful.
Plot: The FL finds refuge in the governor's mansion, after her entire family has been killed. Her half-sister has usurped her place as ML2's fiancée, so the FL enters as a maid in an attempt to get revenge (on the governor, whom she believes is behind the massacre).
A very short format, but without the flaws of minis. Lively production, fairly well-developed characters... but a sad ending (I would have liked to see the ML, suffering and injured throughout the drama, enjoying a bit of happiness).

Drama historique très accrocheur (bien que je n'aime pas beaucoup la FL :( ) mais le ML est TOP (Dai Gao Zheng = hot et intense) et le ML2 est détestable à souhait.
Plot : la FL trouve refuge dans la maison du gouverneur, après que toute sa famille ait été tuée. Sa demi-soeur a usurpé sa place de fiancée du ML2, le FL entre donc comme domestique dans le but de se venger (du gouverneur, dont elle pense qu'il est à l'origine du massacre).
Format très court, mais sans les défauts des mini. Réalisation vive, personnages assez bien développés... mais fin triste (j'aurai aimé voir le ML, souffrant et blessé pendant tout le drama, profiter d'un peu de bonheur).
