When I got into the depths of Dead Friend Forever, it just kept reminding me of Extracurricular. They both have a cast of morally grey characters who just keep making mistakes, even if they thought they were making a sound choice. TWs for both for death, bullying, SA, especially the SA of a minor, violence, and some other things.

- Group of friends travel to a remote location for a reunion
- One of their former friends is the only person missing because something happened to them.
- The location they travel to holds major significance to their former friend and their past
- Mysterious past is slowly revealed

Similar themes of what is the afterlife, spiritual awakening, and revenge from another level.
