"Queen of Tears" officially surpasses the ratings of "Crash Landing On You"
In this cold December month, you want to cuddle up on your couch with a warm cup of tea or maybe coffee, and you just want to be entertained. Well, in this brief movie update, we are going to go through some upcoming movies which are going to be released next year.
Let's start this movie update with our beloved Super Junior member, Donghae, who has been cast as the lead role in his first movie, "You Belong Here."
The movie tells the story of the female protagonist, Chae Yi, who moves to a new village that seems to be filled with strange inhabitants. There, she meets Hyun Soo and Jung Woo, both played by Donghae. Yes, Donghae has been cast for two roles in this movie, Hyun Soo, the man that Chae Yi has a crush on, and Jung Woo, the on who secretly takes care of her.
This will be Donghae's solo debut on the big screen. We have already seen his acting skills in the drama, It's Okay, Daddy's Girl and Ms. Panda and Mr. Porcupine (Panda and Hedgehog). He also ventured to the big screen with the Super Junior movie, Attack on the Pin-Up Boys, in 2007 and the concert movie Super Show 3D, in 2011. You Belong Here, will be his first official role on the big screen.
The film will begin filming in early 2013, so let's hope it will become a hit and showcase Donghae's potential as an actor! :D

Korean actor Chun Jung Myung (Cinderella's Sister, What's Up Fox?)is going to team up with Kim Min Jung (New Heart, Thorn Birds)in the upcoming movie, Queen of the Night. Chung Jung Myung will be officially debuting as a big screen actor through this new movie with a more mature acting skill and sophisticated appearance.
The movie is a romantic comedy about Chun Jung Myung as Young Soo, the timid husband of the seemingly perfect wife, Hee Joo (Kim Min Jung). After uncovering Hee Hoo's past by chance, the couple's relationship goes through a turbulent period with a series of hilarious stories.
Queen of the Night officially started shooting on December 17.

As I am a fan of werewolves myself (thanks to the Twilight hype, I could not escape!), I was really happy when I found out that one of my favorite Korean actors, Song Joong Ki, was going to play a werewolf.
Apparently, I was not the only one who thought that, because the success of this movie was not unexpected. Wolf Boy has drawn more than 1 million moviegoers in just 5 days! The film is receiving heaps of critical praise as well, and now Song Joong Ki is being called the king of both screens, big and small, with his Nice Guy/Wolf Boy double-first-place killer combo!
The story is an unusual love story between a reserved girl (Park Bo Young), who's shut away in a country home, and a feral wolf boy. They develop a friendship and she opens her heart up to the innocent boy, as he falls in love with the girl - the only person to ever show him affection. However, when threatened, he let loose his bestial instincts and became the subject of the villagers' fears. In order to save the life of the boy who risked his life to be by her side, she left him with a promise, "Wait for me. I'll come back to you."
What makes this movie so successful? First of all, you have the mystery behind the male main lead of the story that always draws you in--you just want to know more about the boy. Of course, it also doesn't hurt that he is good looking.
Second of all, the female lead is teaching the mystery boy with gentle guidance to be human again. This leads to adorable and funny moments between the characters where you just want to scream and pinch the cheeks of the male lead. Of course, at a certain point, the teaching becomes more, and eventually, leads to love.
