Currently Watching:  A Hundred's Year Inheritance

I am big fan of Asian Drama. I can’t imagine my day without it. It always makes my day, especially Korean Drama which I am addicted to. It’s my favorite for sure because it has the best professional handsome actors and prettiest actresses; the best cast and acting ever. Don't you think I am right?  ;)

Let me share with you guys the type of Korean drama which I love the most, that touches my heart every few seconds: the ones that I can make you feel the ROMANCE between the lead actor and actress, the DRAMA which leads the cast through many difficulties and each way each of the cast chooses to pass through it effects me in many ways. There should be SUSPENSE, as you can’t stop watching it, and it makes you excited waiting for the next episode, to figure out what will happen. Finally, for sure it should has COMEDY scenes. It’s like adding salt in our favorite dinner.

There are a lot of Korean dramas that have all these genres, but for 2013 I want to highlight a drama I am currently watching even thought it's only a few episodes in so far. The drama that attracts me and keeps me eagerly waiting each week for is:

A Hundred Year’s Inheritance

The idea of actress Eugene and actor Lee Jung Jin working together makes this drama worth watching. I really like Eugene, because she always has chemistry on the screen, especially in this role.  Min Chae Won  is a strong woman who lost her mother at an early age and lives with her father and grandparents.  She got married to Kim Chul Goo (Choi Won Young), a mama's boy, indecisive and weak-minded. Her suffering with her evil in-laws she keeps that hidden away from her family and decides to pass her adversity alone. I am sure that she will shine on the screen by her acting in this drama as always.

I have loved Lee Jung Jin since his acting in Love Story in Harvard, and he is finally on the screen as lead actor Lee Se Yoon, the only son of a rich family.  He is rude, unkind and thinks nothing can stop him. He lost his sense of taste 3 years ago and can’t differentiate between sweet, sour, hot, salty and spicy. The same tragic car accident caused his beloved wife's death.

It’s a unique story as the main characters are mature and both of them have sad memories of their marriages which I have not seen before in any drama so far. The chemistry between the lead actors will definitely give us the best romance story ever, while letting them overcome all their difficulties and sadness.

The synopsis:

This drama has a plot twist starting from the first episode as the main characters are struggling through their past. As we see the difficulties which Min Chae Won faces from her in-laws, I see that she feels lonely and afraid in the beginning, but as I expect from Eugene, she will remove the mask of fear and weakness and stand against her mother-in-law bravely. I can't wait for this - ooooh! As for the lead actor Lee So Yoon, although at first he is cold and rude, through the next episodes he will realize his true feelings and turn on his warmhearted side.  In my opinion, this will make us excited, watching an unbelievable outstanding romance between the best matched leads ever.

I also loved the other side of the story that talks about the traditional Korean noodle house which has survived for many generations. The noodle house is precious to Chae Won's grandparents, especially to her grandfather who will try his best to keep his hundred year inherited house.  He announces to his descendants that whoever helps him run the noodle business for one year will inherit the noodle factory and land worth 10 billion Won.

Soon, all his sons and daughters flock to his old home. Her grandparents' house, which is usually quiet, is suddenly crowded with family. Though they compete for money at first, I think as the time passes by they will spend time together in one house, start to know the value of a family, and change into one beloved family. Believe me that’s what I will love the most actually.

Why you should stop what you're doing and watch this immediately:

I found this story unique.  It's different from all drama which I have seen so far as I said earlier, and I think this drama will move you in its own way. I am excited to see how the main characters will deal with each other and fall in love.
