Currently Watching: Fight For My Way

Best Friends to Lovers: These dramas are simply awesome! Maybe this type of romance can feel more realistic as opposed to the Cinderella Trope dramas we are used to in which a rich prince meets a sassy poor girl. Luv those, too! But a ‘Just Friends’ concept is a fun dynamic for a change.

In Fight For My Way, we get a glimpse into the shared childhood of the leads. Then we meet them again as young adults, still as close as before.

To the viewers' delight, Fight For My Way dives instantly into the lives of our main leads: Ko Dong Man played by Park Seo Joon who is a trained fighter, and Choi Ae Ra played by Kim Ji Won who dreams of a job in broadcasting.

In addition to the main leads' story, there is an interesting side story line about their closest friends, who I am also really rooting for. Let's hope for a successful relationship and happy ending for that pairing as well.

The drama showcases the current hardships and unexpected day to day circumstances of our leads and really tests them individually. However, you can feel that through their resilient support of each other they can make it through anything. Just because they have each other.

And while they aren’t quite living in the same house, being neighbors directly across the street subtly touches in on that theme, with them being so familiar with each other's spaces.

Um hi...

And when you can fart freely around your friends with no awkwardness, you’ve got it all!

And also to set down your relationship goals in advance!

These two leads have an extremely likable chemistry, they compliment each other so well,
you would think they were a real couple. The complications of their friendship might be coming to an end so to speak, as they are slowly noticing each other as man and woman. There is a little predictability with how things will turn out.

Through the flirting, jabs and playful banter between these two, this drama contains fluffy drama gold that will make you smile when you see these two on screen together.

This is certainly the summer of strong female leads who can pack a punch. It’s almost as though your average sassy girl who can speak her mind has been upgraded and taken to a whole new level of  ‘I can take care of myself’ - strong female leads! Another example for this is Lee Shi Young in the currently airing Lookout aka The Guardians

Ae Ra can certainly stand up for herself here!

These girls present admirable leading female characters that will definitely set the bar high for other upcoming dramas.

I love this drama. I've been waiting for it since the news broke out that Park Seojoon and Kim Jiwon are in it. They're my faves but more than that I am happy that they get to play these characters and got this really good story. Friends turning into lovers are more believable/acceptable for me as it establishes a real foundation for future relationships.

I'm loving Fight for My Way. First of all, friends to lovers is a favorite trope and FfMW plays it well. The drama is also equally fluffy and realistic which makes it relatable and still endearing. The second couple especially has a soft spot in my heart already. Then, there's also the fact that all 4 'knuckleheads' leads are just middle-class young people struggling to make it in the world and putting up with jobs they don't like! It's so refreshing to watch dramas with normal people- no chaebols and all that stuff!

I'm enjoying this drama so much. And because of this drama, I remember my somehow best friend in highschool that fell in love with me. We are so comfortable with each other that I treat him like we are siblings(well in my case I feel like we are siblings) and i didn't notice that he fell in love with me. After I discovered that he has feeling for me, I stopped talking to him. Sorry for the story of my life, I just sad that we don't talk anymore. I miss our friendship *sigh* and also!!!!! You will love this drama because even tho they're in their 30's and haven't reach their dreams yet, they are still fighting to get it. Do not give up with your dreams guys!! :)))

Very nice drama, one of few kdrama where the female lead cringes/irritated with way too awww (even watching gave me a cavity ;) ) sweet/clingy sec lead.
Second pair they need a breakup to sort out their feeling and get back rather continuing that submissive/guilty conscious sympathy love relationship, hope there won't be normal kdrama cliche is to have the main leads unnecessary breakup before the drama windup lol

This one is so amazing and light, its actually the first time i care about characters career choices. When the announcer audition or taekwando training scenes happen. I actually look forward to them because its normal people trying to have a chance at life, not the boring ass CEO with parent issues that i feel forced to sympathize with "oh CEO troubles i feel you man im a CEO myself..."
Average everyday people falling in love, finding jobs and having a good dream is this drama.
