"Chief Detective 1958" Climbs Back to Double-Digit Ratings
The South Korean broadcasting channel SBS has released still cuts of Doldam Squad From the upcoming K-drama Dr. Romantic Season 3. The cuts portray Ahn Hyo Seop and Lee Sung Kyung in doctors' attire, and Kim Min Jae in his nurse uniform.
Ahn Hyo Seop plays the role of general surgeon Seo Woo Jin. After almost facing death at the time of his parents' suicide, Woo Jin has always led a tough life. He took up part-time jobs for paying medical school fees and after becoming a doctor he even shifted hospitals as he was ostracized for becoming a whistle-blower who testified against his senior for medical malpractice. Desperate for money, he accepts Kim Sa Bu's offer to work at Doldam Hospital.
Lee Sung Kyung acts the part of Cha Eun Jae. Eun Jae is a cardiothoracic surgeon who often competed with Woo Jin in college. Despite being a surgeon, she cannot bear the sight of blood or flesh when in surgery and often hyperventilates and vomits or fall asleep after taking medicines that slow down her heart rate. For this reason, she is suspended to work at Doldam Hospital before any further notice to return to the main branch.
And Kim Min Jae will reprise his role as nurse Park Eun Tak. Eun Tak met Kim Sa Bu after being admitted as a patient at Doldam Hospital and then went to nursing school to eventually work at the hospital.
