Hey! I am a third-year law student and majoring in law can be very taxing. My favorite time of the day is in the evenings when I am done with all my lectures and can return to the solace of my dorm room to watch Korean dramas.

Usually, I like melodramas but the best stress busters for me are light and funny shows. Lately,  I find comfort in watching the new tvN drama  A Poem a Day

A Poem a Day is a humorous take on a group of medical practitioners and medical staff, all settling for something less in their life in terms of careers and struggling to make their life a little less miserable. I think we all can relate to the 'struggling to make our life a little less miserable' part, cant we?!

So, here's a list of reasons why I would recommend this drama.

CUTE ROMANCE WITH VERY FUNNY MOMENTS

I loath sappy romances where the one lead is always crying because of {insert family/being illegitimate/past lovers/dead friends/etc here}. A Poem a Day is an ultimate laughter ride. The romantic moments are cute and at the same time really funny. A good laugh really lifts up my spirits and makes me prepared for the next day of misery! Also, the romance is so subtle it makes your heart melt. *-*

STRONG SIDE CHARACTERS

Don't you love the feeling when even the side characters are really entertaining? For me, dramas which have weak side character or stories get boring really quick. A drama which is only lead-centric can be really monotonous. So, a drama where each and every character is strong with a background story of themselves is genuinely a treat for me.

A Poem a Day surpasses all expectations in this aspect. You will find an array of characters that are all so very funny! Apart from the side characters, needless to say, the lead characters are really lovable and so relatable! I relate so much to the overemotional female lead, she is as bipolar as me!

BEAUTIFUL POEMS

If you have even a slight inclination towards poetry, this drama is perfect for you! It celebrates underrated and talented Korean poets. The poems are beautiful and thought-provoking. Every poem fits so well in the drama, they are the highlight of each episode for me. As it is said, 'Poetry is the art of uniting pleasure with the truth.' This drama very tastefully teaches us lessons wrapped in beautiful poetry.

CATCHPHRASES

One of the most fun parts of the drama is the catchphrases and acts unique to the character. I won't say much here because it might ruin the drama for you. But all the characters either have a catchphrase or some habits unique to them which are hilarious. SPOILER: I love the fact Shin Min Ho says 'I am kidding' even when he doesn't actually mean it just to mask his emotions.

WHICH SHIP TO BOARD

Seven episodes into the drama, I still don't know who the girl will end up with. I love dramas where the guy with whom the girl will end up is not obvious. I loved it in School 2015 where even till the end I wasn't sure if it was going to be Han Yi An or Kong Tae Gwang. I have the feeling that we will have to keep the guesswork on even longer in A Poem a Day, which I absolutely LOVE!

All in all, this drama will not disappoint you with its layers of laughter, cuteness, romance, and a little drama.
