Jeon Jong Seo receives offer to star in the upcoming K-drama "Genie House"
Cha Mi Kyung is confirmed to join the ENA original K-drama Lies Hidden in My Garden.
On June 8, Cha Mi Kyung's agency officially confirmed that the actress would be joining the upcoming suspense thriller K-drama. She will act as Im Ji Yeon's mother.
This will be the first K-drama of Cha Mi Kyung for the year. She last starred in the 2022 K-drama The Forbidden Marriage led by Kim Young Dae, Park Ju Hyun, Kim Woo Seok, Yang Dong Geun, Park Sun Young, and Choi Deok Moon.
Aside from the upcoming K-drama, Cha Mi Kyung will also join the upcoming movies MORA and Vacation.
Cha Mi Kyung has starred in several popular K-dramas such as May It Please the Court, From Now On, Showtime!, Our Beloved Summer, The Red Sleeve, Racket Boys, Itaewon Class, and more.
Lies Hidden in My Garden will tell the story of two women who have completely different lives, and encounter each other due to a suspicious smell in their backyard. It will base its story on the novel of the same name by Kim Jin Yeong.
It will be the next work of director Jung Ji Hyun who is known for creating the K-dramas Twenty-Five Twenty-One, You Are My Spring, The King: Eternal Monarch, and Search: WWW.
The upcoming K-drama will be led by Kim Tae Hee, Im Ji Yeon, Kim Sung Oh, Choi Jae Rim, Cha Sung Je, and Jung Woon Sun. The series will be produced by Studio Dragon, KT Studio Genie, and more.
Cha Mi Kyung will play the role of Im Ji Yeon's character Sang Eun's mother. She is not fully conscious because she is suffering from dementia.
Lies Hidden in My Garden will premiere on June 19 and it will be available on Genie TV, Genie TV Mobile, and ENA Channel.
