Hello guys! It's been a while since I last wrote an article. And, when I finally had the chance to write a new one, so many ideas popped into my head that it made me delete a thousand other articles I had planned to write because I was so doubtful.

So, recently, I've been in a drama slump. I kept dropping dramas, back and forth. Nothing piqued my interest. I wanted to watch a drama with 16 episodes, but I had exams so I was unsure about starting it since I was afraid that I was going to definitely drop it. Then I came across this idea – let's watch a mini drama!

Miniseries or drama specials are short in size but sometimes they're longer than movies where they have more than two episodes. For the last few weeks, I've been watching multiple drama specials and miniseries and I've been enjoying them a lot.

Therefore, for those who are suffering in a drought of good kdramas or are in a drama slump, I decided to mention 5 Korean drama specials and mini series which I really enjoyed, and maybe you'll enjoy them too!

Adolescence Medley

Synopsis: Choi Jung Woo is a transfer student at Namil High School. After transferring schools seven times, Jung Woo learns it is easiest not to make friends!

Starring: Kwak Dong YeonLee Se Young

This is a very cute drama, with some really funny characters and heartwarming moments. It's lighthearted, easy to watch but also rewatchable.

Somehow 18

Synopsis: 28-year-old Gyung Hwi is a resident at a university hospital. He was bullied in high school. He made a suicide attempt, but Han Na Bi, a mysterious girl that transferred to his school early that semester, prevented him from dying. However, after telling him to live, she had suddenly committed suicide. Gyung Hwi couldn’t forget about her for the past decade and one day wakes up to find himself in his old self 10 years ago. It’s a week before Na Bi committed suicide.

He is the 18-year-old loser he used to be, but he can’t miss this opportunity. He has to find out what happened to Na Bi, why she killed herself, and stop her from doing so. Gyung Hwi goes through his life as an 18-year-old with the experience of a 28-year-old, changing his gloomy past as he goes.

Will Gyung Hwi, who went back to the time he was an outcast, be able to save his first love and have a happy ending?

Starring: Choi Min Ho, Lee Yoo Bi

I think this is a mini drama with a heavier plot than others. It is mostly light, but some moments can be really touching and sad. Overall, I really enjoyed this one.

Splash Splash LOVE

Synopsis:  Dan Bi is a high school senior who has given up on math. On the day she is about to take the KSAT for college, she is transported back into the past during a freak rain shower. She finds herself hundreds of years in the past at the height of the Joseon Kingdom, which is suffering from a severe drought. She encounters King Leedo who yearns to learn advanced mathematics and falls in love with him. This is a romance that transcends space and time with two lovers who come to know each other on a deeper level.

Starring: Yoon Doo Joon, Kim Seul Gi

One of my most favorites! And I believe many others can agree with me on this one. I loved the story with the mix of actual history and the romance was top-notch! I loved their chemistry, really hope to see them together in a drama again!

Individualist Ms. Ji Young

Synopsis: Ji Yeong has lived her whole life as a rugged individualist. One day, she meets a man who is a total opposite version of her. He lives for others. And, these two very different people fall in love with each other. They balance out each other so well that they really don't miss out on the things that they might have never even imagined about.

Starring: Min Hyo Rin, Gong Myung

This had a funny plotline with relatable characters. I loved the male lead's character - it's my favorite type of male lead character.

Binggoo

Synopsis: After being frozen for 37 years, Man Soo finds himself awake in a cold body but he has enormous love in his heart. He meets Ha Da, who has turned into a cold-hearted human being after living in the city. Now that Man Soo is awake from his slumber, he embarks on a search for his long-lost love through time while Ha Da, whom he encountered, is discovering warmth in her heart. Will either of them find love? This TV show aims to weave a beautiful story of romance to uplift viewers who are dealing with a depressed economy and dim job prospects in a harsh society of today.

Starring: Kim Jung Hyun, Han Sun Hwa

This one has an interesting story, and again, the chemistry between the leads was amazing. It's nothing heavy and serious, but it's really heartwarming and sweet.
