The upcoming weekend mini-series The Crown Prince Has Disappeared has confirmed its release date for March 9 and dropped pics from the script reading session. 

The Crown Prince Has Disappeared tells the story of Crown Prince Yi Gun (Suho) getting kidnapped by Choi Myung Yoon (Hong Ye Ji), who plans to marry him. 

Set against the backdrop of the Joseon era, it is a romantic comedy written by Kim Ji Soo and Park Chul and directed by Kim Jin Man.

The script reading for The Crown Prince Has Disappeared was attended by director Kim Jin Man, writers Kim Ji Soo and Park Chul, and the main cast, including Suho, Hong Ye Ji, Myung Se BinKim Joo Heon, and Kim Min Kyu.

EXO's Suho (Behind Your Touch) plays Lee Gon, the Crown Prince.

The rising star Hong Ye Ji (Love Song for Illusion) plays Choi Myung Yoon, the daughter of Choi Sang Rok (Kim Joo Heon), who plans to become the Crown Princess.

Veteran actress Myung Se Bin (Doctor Cha) portrays Queen Min Soo Ryeon. Behind her gentle nature, she suffers from sorrow and despair as she lives with the wounds of having to give up her love while trapped in the shackles of her status.

Kim Joo Heon (Castaway DivaDr. Romantic Season 3Big Mouth) transforms into Choi Myung Yoon's father, Choi Sang Rok. He is a kind yet fierce man who would do anything for his loved ones.

The rising star Kim Min Kyu plays Lee Gon's stepbrother, Prince Do Sung, who possesses good looks and excellent martial arts skills. 

Seasoned actors such as Yoo Se Rye, Jeon Jin Oh, Cha Kwang Soo, and Kim Seol Jin also joined them and added depth and fun to the script reading.

The Crown Prince Has Disappeared is set to premiere on March 9.
