Im Ji Yeon will reportedly be the female lead of the upcoming SBS K-drama "National Death Penalty Vote."

On December 12th, media outlet JTBC Entertainment News shared that Im Ji Yeon will be the female lead of the upcoming series "National Death Penalty Vote."

If Im Ji Yeon confirms her casting, the actress will be working alongside Park Hae Jin and Park Sung Woong

"National Death Penalty Vote" will base its story on the webtoon of the same name written by Um Se Yoon and illustrated by Jung Yi Pum. It will showcase the satirical reality of avoiding the blind spot of the law with the use of the public's biased psychology.

This k-drama will be the reunion work of Park Hae Jin and Park Sung Woong. Anticipating rises with how the two will create synergy with Im Ji Yeon. 

"National Death Penalty Vote" will be directed by Park Shin Woo who also helmed "Trap" and "White Night." The script will be written by Jo Yoon Young ("Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo").

The upcoming drama "National Death Penalty Vote" will premiere on SBS. There are no official details yet about the exact broadcast date. 

In the upcoming series, Im Ji Yeon got the offer to play the role of Joo Hyun. She is a security expert full of justice. She is a one-taker of the police special recruitment. 

Before the year ends, Im Ji Yeon will star in the much anticipated Netflix original drama "The Glory" with Song Hye Kyo and Lee Do Hyun.

Next year, Im Ji Yeon will also lead the upcoming drama "A House With A Yard." 

Just this month, Im Ji Yeon appeared in the second installment of "Money Heist: Korea - Joint Economic Area - Part 2" as a new character.
