Set in the 1990s, The Worst of Evil is the story of police officer Park Joon Mo (Ji Chang Wook), who infiltrates a Korea-China-Japan drug syndicate based in Gangnam, aiming to dismantle its operations.

In the K-drama, actress Im Se Mi plays Park Joon Mo's wife and an elite police officer, Yoo Eui Jung, who is acknowledged by everyone for her skills.

Upon discovering that the boss of the Gangnam syndicate - where Joon Mo has gone undercover - is Jung Ki Chul (Wi Ha Joon), Yoo Eui Jung jumps in to solve the case.

The intricate dynamics and choices of these three people - Im Se Mi, Ji Chang Wook, and the boss of the Gangnam syndicate Wi Ha Joon - propel the narrative into an unanticipated spiral of chaos.

Director Han Dong Wook praised the actress, saying, "Im Se Mi's finesse is remarkable. Even for a single scene, she meticulously deliberates over the minutest details", and he adds, "Her attentiveness to nuances I might have overlooked has resulted in a more intricate and precise direction".

Furthermore, Im Se Mi will also deliver power-packed action sequences, befitting her role as a police officer. Action director Kwon Ji Hoon commented, "Especially when faced with an opponent charging forth, even though she has received specialized training in subduing opponents as a police officer, I aimed to portray her sense of bewilderment and struggle", building up anticipation.

The Worst of Evil releases on September 27th on  Disney+ and Hulu
