Jang Dong Yoon is in talks to be the main lead of the upcoming KBS drama "Oasis"
On March 22, reports stated that Jang Dong Yoon was offered to lead the upcoming drama "Oasis" that will be directed by Jung Hyung Soo and Yoon Sung Sik.
"Oasis" will have a 1980s-1990s setting and it will tell the life, revenge and conflict of young people who aims to have power and wealth in an era with wrong social values.
Jang Dong Yoon's agency DongYi Company responded to the reports, "It is true that he received the offer and Oasis is one of the projects he's reviewing."
The actor got the offer to play the role of Lee Do Hak, an innocent and smart young man who was born in a small city in Jeolla Province. After his father had an unjust death, he will lead his life full of revenge.
The actor is also part of the SBS drama "Joseon Exorcist" with Park Sung Hoon, Kam Woo Sung, Kim Dong Jun, and more. The drama will premiere later today, 10 PM KST. Aside from "Oasis," he's also considering the upcoming drama "The Fairy and the Bald Idol." Jang Dong Yoon will also be part of the upcoming 12 billion (approximately $10 Million US dollars) budget movie "Wolf Hunt" with Seo In Guk.
Jang Dong Yoon is considered one of the most popular actors today. The actor debuted in 2016 and easily got recognized for his talent. He is known for his participation in dramas such as for "Search", "The Tale of Nokdu," and "School 2017."
"Oasis" is set to air on the second half of 2021.
