Anticipation builds for Ji Chang Wook's character transformation in the Disney+ original series, The Worst of Evil

Set in the 1990s, The Worst of Evil is a story of the journey of police officer Joon Mo (Ji Chang Wook), who infiltrates a Korean-Chinese-Japanese drug trade syndicate based in Gangnam, aiming to dismantle its operations.

In the K-drama, Ji Chang Wook plays the role of Park Joon Mo, a determined police officer who disguises himself as Kwon Seung Ho to penetrate the Gangnam base - an epicenter of the drug trade among the three nations. He appears as a character who is not only tough and relentless in pursuing his goals but as one who shines brighter in the face of crisis and has an evil temperament. To solve a widely-watched case, he makes the dangerous choice of infiltrating the base of drug cartels, Gangnam, becoming entangled with its boss, Jung Ki Chul (Wi Ha Joon), and gradually getting caught up in the events.

Ji Chang Wook skillfully portrays the evolving nature of his character through a spectrum of emotions and challenges that unfold as a result of his character's transformation from police officer Park Joon Mo to gangster Kwon Seung Ho.

Notably, Ji Chang Wook is expected to deliver high-octane action sequences while delicately capturing the intricate nuances of his character. This duality heralds the birth of a compelling new persona on screen.

While Ji Chang Wook has previously showcased his action-hero prowess to audiences, notably in The K2, this upcoming drama holds a distinct significance, primarily due to his collaboration with Wi Ha Joon, making it all the more exceptional.

Director Han Dong Wook expressed profound satisfaction, stating, "We can expect Ji Chang Wook's unparalleled, fresh, and profoundly compelling performance. He is poised to be acknowledged as a standout performer within the undercover genre".

Be seated for the release of The Worst of Evil on September 27th on Disney+.
