JTBC's Frankly Speaking unveiled the first stills of Joo Jong Hyuk.

Frankly Speaking tells the story of Song Ki Baek (Go Kyung Pyo), an announcer, who is unexpectedly afflicted with a disease that doesn't let him control the words coming from his mouth. Intrigued by Song's manner of speech, the passionate TV variety show writer On Woo Joo (Kang Han Na) invites him to her variety show.

Joo Jong Hyuk has taken on the role of trot singer Kim Jung Heon in the upcoming comedy K-drama.

In a nutshell, Kim Jung Heon is the "nation's son-in-law", who has the highest rating in the entertainment industry. He debuted as an idol at the age of twenty, but after a massive failure within a year, he spent nearly a decade in the broadcasting industry, working as an assistant, guest, reporter, etc.

Then one day, by chance, he participated in a trot audition program, and rose to second place, stealing the hearts of mothers nationwide, and earning the title of "nation's son-in-law". After gaining success as a trot singer, he works tirelessly for one goal: to reunite with his ex, On Woo Joo (Kang Han Na). And finally, the opportunity for him to reveal the feelings he has held onto for so long arises

The still cuts capture both the on-screen and off-screen versions of Jung Heon. When on screen, he has neatly arranged hair, wears a tidy suit, and exudes cheerful energy. However, at home, he keeps his hair messy and wears a loose T-shirt while relishing a pack of yogurt.

In the last still cut, he is seen dressed in a tuxedo, standing in front of On Woo Joo. It is also important to note that Jung Heon is not only Woo Joo's ex but also Song Ki Baek's (Go Kyung Pyo) former classmate.

Frankly Speaking will premiere on May 1. The K-drama will be available to stream on Netflix. Check out the drama's teaser here
