The K-movie Concrete Utopia has surpassed 3 million viewers in just 16 days from its release.

According to the Korean Film Council's integrated computer network for movie theater tickets, on August 24th, the post-apocalyptic drama film Concrete Utopia got 49,414 viewers, securing 2nd place at the box office. Since its opening on August 9th, the K-movie drew in 3,001,751 moviegoers.

Concrete Utopia is the third Korean film this year to reach the milestone of 3 million viewers, following The Roundup: No Way Out and Smugglers.

The movie steadily garnered 1 million viewers on its 4th day at the box office, and 2 million viewers on its 7th day. On its 16th day, as it entered its 3rd week, it garnered 3 million viewers. It is anticipated that Concrete Utopia will exceed 4 million viewers.

Concrete Utopia is a disaster drama movie, that tells the story of people gathering in the Hwang Goong Apartments in Seoul after a massive earthquake turns the city into ruins. The film is led by Lee Byung HunPark Seo Joon, and Park Bo Young, and directed by Uhm Tae Hwa.
