The new JTBC Saturday-Sunday drama King the Land dropped its fifth teaser.

The teaser gives a glimpse of the dynamic chemistry between the characters Gu Won (Lee Jun Ho) and Cheon Sa Rang (Im Yoon Ah).

The video starts with an awkward first encounter between the duo. While Gu Won mocks fake laughter, Cheon Sa Rang's profession demands her to smile even if she doesn't want to.

In particular, when Gu Won receives Cheon Sa Rang's welcome greeting with a smile, he coldly responds, "Don't laugh", indicating that their first meeting is already off to a rocky start.

Even when Cheon Sa Rang tries to explain that her smile is just like a uniform for concierges, which she must wear, Gu Won imposes a strict rule of firing her if she smiles, leaving her bewildered.

Gu Won's consistent warning to "stop faking a smile" unsettles Cheon Sa Rang. As someone who has lived a life surrounded by adoration, Gu Won's words do not sit well with her.

On the other hand, Gu Won gradually becomes more intrigued by Cheon Sa Rang, despite being annoyed by her.

In another scene, Gu Won tries to take a peek at Cheon Sa Ran, and after sensing his interest, Cheon Sa Rang approaches him and requests, "Can you spare a moment for me?".

Toward the end of the video, the duo is seen sitting together, and Gu Won says, "I will protect you". Then a strange voice startles him and he hilariously hides behind Cheon Sa Rang, ironic to his promise of protecting her and revealing himself to be a scaredy cat.

The fifth teaser video of JTBC's King the Land transitions between romance and comedy, heightening anticipation for the fun and heart-fluttering rom-com.

King the Land will premiere on June 17 on Netflix
