"Chief Detective 1958" Climbs Back to Double-Digit Ratings
The upcoming JTBC weekend drama Strong Girl Namsoon has unveiled still cuts that give a glimpse of the first encounter and collaboration between Kang Nam Soon and Kang Hee Shik.
Strong Girl Namsoon is a crime-comedy drama about three extraordinary women with superhuman strength who unravel the mysteries behind a drug-related crime unfolding in Gangnam. 
In the series, Lee You Mi plays Kang Nam Soon, an exuberant and eccentric superhuman who flew from Mongolia to South Korea to find her parents. After she returns, she teams up with her mother, Hwang Geum Joo (Kim Jung Eun), and grandmother, Kim Jung Eun (Kim Hae Sook), to combat a new drug crime wave. Ong Seong Wu portrays Kang Hee Shik, the youngest police officer at the Gangnam Han River District Police Station, who combines brains with brawn. He is a sharp police officer who has just graduated from the police academy.
The released stills capture the intriguing moment when Kang Nam Soon and Kang Hee Shik first cross paths at an airport baggage claim area. Kang Nam Soon can't help but smile upon seeing police officer Kang Hee Shik while he remains nonchalant about the encounter. In another still cut, the huge luggage of Kang Nam Soon's belongings, which she brought with her all the way from Mongolia, lies between them, raising curiosity about its contents.
The stills also offer a glimpse of Kang Nam Soon and Kang Hee Shik's dynamic as they embark on their heroic adventures. Sneaking into the scene of the incident as employees, the duo showcases determination. Their electrifying teamwork as they strive to eliminate the new drug crime wave adds to the anticipation of their evolving partnership, which will give them new strength and courage they have never felt before.
Strong Girl Namsoon is set to premiere on October 7 on Netflix.
