"My Lovely Boxer" Ha Seung Ri Rivals Lee Sang Yeop Over Genius Boxer Kim So Hye

KBS 2TV's new Monday-Tuesday K-drama My Lovely Boxer (written by Kim Min Joo, directed by Choi Sang Yeol, and Hong Eun Mi), scheduled to premiere on August 21st, is based on the award-winning novel "My Lovely Boxer" by author Choo Jong Nam, the 2nd place winner of the Kyobo Bookstore Story Contest. The drama tells the story of a genius boxer, Lee Gwon Sook, and a cold-blooded agent, Kim Tae Young, as they embark on a life-defining manipulation and escape journey.

Ha Seung Ri captivates in the unveiled stills with her confident and self-assured portrayal of agent Jung Soo Yeon. She exudes a professional aura from head to toe, embodying the career-oriented woman.

In the drama, Ha Seung Ri takes on the role of sports agent Jung Soo Yeon, who, as a former professional golfer, possesses an unwavering fighting spirit and is willing to risk everything for victory. She will engage in a tense rivalry with Kim Tae Young (played by Lee Sang Yeob), who is her former lover and her current rival.

Ha Seung Ri expressed her decisive reason for choosing My Lovely Boxer, stating, "I wanted to be part of the character Jung Soo Yeon and share the unseen efforts and reality behind the passionate world of athletes."

She added, "Through My Lovely Boxer, many people will learn about the reality of boxing. I ask for your high expectations for Su Yeon, who sincerely approaches the athletes in a challenging environment."

Describing her character, Jung Soo Yeon, Ha Seung Ri said, "Soo Yeon is strong, warm, and endlessly clean. Her sincerity in dealing with people is very similar to my real self, making it more comfortable for me to portray her. Soo Yeon's adaptability and chemistry with others, which varies depending on the person she interacts with, make her an attractive character."
