"Uncle Samsik" Drops Tiffany Young's Stills
The upcoming fantasy rom-com Heartbeat - directed by Lee Hyun Suk, and Lee Min Soo, with a script penned by Kim Ha Na and Jung Seung Joo - tells the story of Seon Woo Hyeol and Joo In Hae. Woo Hyeol is a half-human, half-vampire who narrowly missed the chance to become fully human, and In Hae is a woman with an icy-cold demeanor who wakes Woo Hyeol from his 100-year slumber one day too early.
Stepping into the shoes of the vampire Seon Woo Hyeol is none other than 2PM's Ok Taec Yeon.
To give a glimpse of Ok Taec Yeon's character, KBS released stills that capture the actor's versatility to portray a diverse range of expressions.
In the first still, Ok Taec Yeon, wearing a formal suit, sits on the entrance stairs of an old building, seemingly engrossed in deep contemplation. In the second still, he joins his hands to pray with an intent gaze in his eyes. The third still shows him wearing a fedora, casting a sidelong glance into the distance.
The actor will also be seen wearing traditional Korean attire as the drama gives a glimpse of Woo Hyeol's past from the Joseon era.
Explaining his choice to choose this drama, Ok Taec Yeon said, "I was drawn to the heartwarming script that touched my heart. The character of Seon Woo Hyeol intrigued me with his freshness and charm. I felt anticipation and excitement about how to depict Seon Woo Hyeol".
Heartbeat is set to premiere on June 26. International fans will be able to stream the K-drama on Prime Video.
