"Chief Detective 1958" Climbs Back to Double-Digit Ratings
The upcoming SBS drama The Killing Vote follows the gripping story of an anonymous "Dog Mask" who conducts a nationwide poll on death penalties for heinous criminals.
In The Killing Vote two detectives dedicated to pursuing the "Dog Mask" take center stage. Leading Team 1 of the Southern Provincial Police Department's regional investigation unit is Kim Moo Chan, played by Park Hae Jin; while Im Ji Yeon plays Joo Hyun, a seasoned officer with five years of experience in the Cyber Safety Bureau at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency.
Despite their contrasting investigative styles and personalities, Kim Moo Chan and Joo Hyun share an unwavering determination to uncover the truth behind the "Dog Mask". At times, they collaborate closely, while at other instances, they suspect each other.
On July 11, the production team of The Killing Vote released behind-the-scenes stills, offering a glimpse of the relationship dynamics of Kim Moo Chan and Joo Hyun. In the stills, the two are seen moving individually and together at a location that appears to be the scene of an incident.
The production team commented, "In the drama, Kim Moo Chan and Joo Hyun, as police officers, embark on a joint pursuit of the criminals. As a hard-boiled investigative thriller, the series will deliver an abundance of intense action sequences, fierce mental battles, and nerve-wracking confrontations, all tailored to the unfolding circumstances".
They added, "Park Hae Jin and Im Ji Yeon are exceptionally talented actors who shine even in solo performances. When these two remarkable individuals come together, their dynamic teamwork creates a perfect synergy. The Killing Vote will premiere on August 10.
