"Chief Detective 1958" Climbs Back to Double-Digit Ratings
The upcoming Monday-Tuesday drama Delightfully Deceitful (penned by Han Woo Joo and directed by Lee Soo Hyun) is a crime thriller about an apathetic swindler Lee Ro Um (Chun Woo Hee), and a compassionate lawyer Han Moo Young(Kim Dong Wook), who join hands to fight evil.
The series stars Park So Jin as a kind and compassionate psychiatrist Mo Jae In. She treats lawyer Han Moo Young (Kim Dong Wook) - who suffers from hyper-empathy syndrome - and believes that as a psychiatrist, she must empathize with her patients. She sees herself as a protector of "unique" individuals around her.
While preparing to become a doctor, she realizes that she has led a fairly ordinary life without any significant ups and downs and that there are many people in the world who aren't fortunate enough to lead a normal life like hers. Her patients' suffering has never weighed her down, but she feels empty outside of her work life.
Mo Jae In's ordinary life turns upside down when she meets Lee Ro Um (Chun Woo Hee) - a suspected sociopath who has been around Han Moo Young for the past three years - along with a mysterious probation officer named Go Yo Han (Yoon Park).
Mo Jae In's ordinary life steadily starts to change. When she sees them, she feels painful and poignant emotions rush into her heart. As she wholeheartedly cares for her patients, Mo Jae In's empathetic and compassionate demeanour comes into play, making it her character's focal point of interest in the drama.
