TWICE's Kim Da Hyun confirmed to make her acting debut!
Trending actor Ryeoun will reportedly take part in Weak Hero Class 2 as part of the main leads.
On August 1st, media outlet Star News reported that Ryeoun will be the newly added cast of the upcoming season of Weak Hero Class 1.
Ryeoun's side hasn't responded to the casting reports yet.
If Ryeoun confirms his casting, this will be his third upcoming K-drama. The actor will also join the upcoming series Twinkling Watermelon and The Borrowed Body.
In 2023, Ryeoun starred in the K-drama The Secret Romantic Guesthouse together with Shin Ye Eun, Kang Hoon, Jung Gun Joo, Hyun Woo, and Oh Man Suk.
Ryeoun made his acting debut in 2017. Since then, he has starred in several K-dramas in a supporting role. He was part of the K-dramas Through the Darkness, Adult Trainee, 18 Again, Homemade Love Story, Doctor Prisoner, Temperature of Love, and more.
Weak Hero Class 2 will tell the story of Yeon Si Eun's journey as he transfers to a new school.
The second season will be led by Park Ji Hoon, Choi Hyun Wook, and Hong Kyung.
According to reports, Weak Hero Class 2 will begin its filming in the second half of the year. The K-drama is currently in discussion to premiere on the OTT platform, Wavve and will reportedly have eight episodes just like in the first season.
Weak Hero Class 1 was released in 2022 and it easily became a hit in Korea. Many also praised the performances and chemistry of the main leads Park Ji Hoon, Choi Hyun Wook, and Hong Kyung.
Anticipation arises about what the character of Ryeoun will bring to the story of the upcoming K-drama Weak Hero Class 2.
