Actor Son Suk Ku returns to the big screen with Troll Factory.

Having appeared as a formidable villain in the movie The Roundup, Son Suk Ku is set to show a new facet of himself as a journalist trying to uncover the secrets of the troll factory.

Troll Factory tells the story of journalist Im Sang Jin who has been suspended after he wrote a negative report about a large corporation. He then receives a tip about a comment unit/troll farm called Team Alley, which manipulates online public opinion. As he uncovers the secrets of the comment unit, he faces a shocking reality.

Son Suk Ku plays the character of Im Sang Jin, a journalist seeking reinstatement after he was suspended for writing an article exposing the misconduct of a large corporation. Im Sang Jin is a character who only cares about his personal gain, unconventional to the typical justice-driven journalists portrayed in most K-dramas and K-movies.

After a mysterious informant, Chat Tat Kat (Kim Dong Hwi), who holds clues to his reinstatement and online public manipulation, appears before him, Im Sang Jin begins to uncover the true nature of the comment unit, known as Team Alley (Kim Sung CheolKim Dong HwiHong Kyung). Anticipations are high as to how Son Suk Ku will depict the gradual transformation of Im Sang Jin, who relentlessly pursues Team Alley just to be reinstated.

Director Ahn Gook Jin commented, "I wanted Im Sang Jin's character to break away from the conventional journalist image and make viewers think, 'Is that what a real journalist looks like? Does that actually resemble the journalists we know?' When considering casting for the role of Im Sang Jin, no other actor came to mind as a suitable replacement for Son Suk Ku."

Troll Factory is scheduled for release on March 27.
