Weki Meki's Kim Do Yeon has been confirmed to star in a horror-comedy K-movie Amoeba Girls and School Ghost Stories: School Opening Day [literal title].

Following her upcoming movie 18 Youth, Kim Do Yeon is set to be seen in another big-screen production. The K-movie is helmed by Kim Min Ha.

In the movie, idol Kim Do Yeon plays the character of Ji Yeon, a character with lively charm. She is the head of the broadcasting department at Sekwang Girls' High School and a cinephile who dreams of becoming a film director.

Amoeba Girls and School Ghost Stories: School Opening Day follows the chaos that ensues when girls from the broadcasting club, with average grades of 8, accidentally discover the 1998 School Anniversary Ghost Hide and Seek tape. It depicts their endeavor to challenge the cursed hide-and-seek game with ghosts, risking their lives, in pursuit of perfect scores in their college entrance exams. 

The movie Amoeba Girls and School Ghost Stories: School Opening Day is reported to have commenced filming on January 16. The release date is yet to be announced. Stay tuned!
