I completed the "Cherry Magic Timeline". Latest update on 02/02/2021,  Episode 12. A big thank you to @Foreigner for their help with the whole timeline, from start to finish.

Info:
Episodes 1 – 7 take place during the month of October.  We can prove that by:

  • Adachi’s calendar on the wall (it says 10)
  • The timeskips are 3 weeks in total
  • Kurosawa mentioned “October 28th” in episode 6

Episode 8 onward is November. Proof:

  • Adachi's calendar on the wall changes from 10 to 11

Episode 10:

  • The events take place within the time frame of November 8th to November 17th. Thus, since it's not easy to make accurate statements of the exact dates in some scenes, me and Foreigner went with some speculated dates in that episode. Some scenes are easy to find but others not so much. Please take this into consideration while reading.

Episode 11 (Foreigner):

  • Adachi and Tsuge scene:  We don't have any concrete evidence here, but I assume that this happens the day before the following scene. Adachi must have wanted to start his no-touching experiment right after talking to Tsuge, right?
  • Presentation day: Calendar (December 21st)

Episode 12 (Foreigner)

  • Day after the break up: Calendar (December 22nd)
  • 3 days timeskip: Calendar (December 24th)
  • The morning-after scenes: December 25th (info by Aprillen: Christmas Day isn't a holiday in Japan, so everyone goes to work as usual)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Episode 1:

  • The series start on September 30th. Adachi informs us that he is 29 years and 365 days old as he is going to work. In his office Urabe informs him of an urban legend that says "anyone who is a virgin by the time of their 30th birthday will get magic powers".
  • Adachi’s birthday is next day, October 1st (Libra? No way). He gets mindreading powers by touching someone. He freaks out the whole day.
  • One-week timeskip: it’s October 8th. Adachi is trying to avoid being with many people at the same place. Arriving at the office building, he gets into the elevator with others and the popular colleague, Kurosawa. Due to push-and-pull inside the elevator, Adachi learns of Kurosawa’s feelings for him. Adachi stays more hours that day to write Urabe's report. Kurosawa decides to help him. As they exit the building, Kurosawa gives Adachi his scarf so he won't get cold and asks Adachi if he would like to stay over for the night since the trains have stopped.

Episode 2:

  • October 8th: Adachi sleeps over at Kurosawa’s house although he is anxious of what might happen since he knows about Kurosawa's feelings for him. Both don't sleep well that night.
  • October 9th: They have breakfast together. Later that day Adachi meets with Tsuge and tells him about him mindreading powers and Kurosawa. Tsuge doesn't believe him and when Adachi accidentally touches him, it is revealed that Tsuge is also a virgin.
  • October 12th: Kurosawa stands up for Adachi against Urabe. Adachi can’t follow Tsuge’s advice and ignore Kurosawa anymore, so he rushes to invite him over for dinner.

Episode 3:

  • October 12th: Adachi and Kurosawa’s dinner is interrupted by Rokkaku. They are instead invited over for a dinner with their coworkers. In the  "King's Game" Kurosawa and Adachi are ordered to be kissed but seeing Adachi's afraid face, Kurosawa resorts to kissing his forehead and excuses himself. Adachi finds him in one of the balconies and they talk about it. As Adachi explains that he didn't hate Kurosawa's kiss, this gives Kurosawa the courage to move forward and initiate a kiss.

Episode 4:

  • October 12th: Tsuge and Rokkaku interrupt the kiss. It is also Tsuge’s birthday.
  • October 26th: 2 weeks timeskip. Adachi is avoiding Kurosawa. Adachi spends time with Fujisaki. Kurosawa arrives to save the day (lol). Adachi learns of Kurosawa’s insecurities regarding how to go around and help Adachi without burdening him. Adachi decides to help Kurosawa with a client.

Episode 5:

  • October 26th: Kurosawa thanks Adachi for his help with the client which makes Adachi is very happy. Adachi spends time with Rokkaku. They see Kurosawa with an unknown woman after work; Rokkaku says that she is probably Kurosawa’s ex. Adachi gets sad and dramatically walks away in the rain. He has a nightmare of Kurosawa having an intimate moment with that woman.
  • October 27th: Adachi gets sick. He goes to work but is still sad over what happened yesterday. Kurosawa sees that he is not well and tries to help. Adachi gets angry (bc he is jealous) and almost faints but Kurosawa princess carries him (aww). They get on a taxi; unknown woman arrives and takes control.

Episode 6:

  • October 27th: Adachi learns that the unknown woman is actually Kurosawa’s Onee-san! Him and Kurosawa go back to Adachi’s apartment since Alpha onee-san wants to take Kurosawa’s apartment for a while. Kurosawa spends the night taking care of Adachi.
  • October 28th: Adachi invites Kurosawa to stay over till onee-san leaves his apartment. But Kurosawa’s “sweet life” fantasies scare Adachi and thus he is trying to avoid Kurosawa at work and going back home together. Rokkaku saves Adachi by inviting himself over for a boys night at Adachi’s house. Kurosawa gets sad, jealous and realizes that being near Adachi is getting hard for him to control his feelings.
  • October 29th: Kurosawa has already left Adachi’s house. They talk through messages to go back together. As they go towards the station, the atmosphere is awkward. Kurosawa finally confesses that he likes Adachi.

Episode 7:

  • October 29th: Kurosawa talks more about his feelings; tries to touch Adachi’s cheek but Adachi drops his face. Kurosawa takes that as a rejection and tells Adachi to forget about everything and next time they meet, everything will be back to normal. As he leaves, we see he is struggling to hold back tears.
  • October 30th: Kurosawa’s pov. We see his issues with the objectification he goes through at work and in his relationships. Flashback to a business dinner where the client sexually harasses him, and his bosses talk behind his back. Adachi’s kind words about his work and looking vulnerable for the first time, catch Kurosawa off guard and his heart is starting to beat fast. He narrates how easy it was for him to start developing feelings for Adachi since then. We go back to the present: Kurosawa says how he knew that one day he should leave this feelings behind. Meanwhile Adachi comes to realize that he has liked Kurosawa for a while. After work he runs to find Kurosawa and confesses. They hug and walk back to the station, where Kurosawa flirts back with Adachi as the later proposed to go eat dinner.

Episode 8:

  • October 31st: At work Kurosawa asks Adachi on a date; Adachi agrees. Fujisaki can see that things are going well between them.
  • November 1st: Day of the date. But their big day is crushed by Tsuge. Adachi and Kurosawa decide to help Tsuge and accompany him on the place Minato is dancing. Adachi admits to Tsuge that he and Kurosawa are dating, supporting Tsuge on his feelings for Minato. Adachi and Kurosawa go back, hold hands and agree to take their relationship step by step. Tsuge goes to confess his feelings to Minato but the guy who Minato had a fight before, comes back in that moment and kisses him.

Episode 9:

  • November 8th: 9 days timeskip. Adachi and Kurosawa have been dating for 9 days now while Tsuge keeps avoiding Minato. Kurosawa wants to give their failed date another chance and Adachi agrees; Rokkaku gets angry after he received a call from Minato and wants to meet with Tsuge. The meeting happens later at night and Tsuge clears up the misunderstanding: he is not a homophobe but rather there is another reason he couldn't face Minato. He runs to the place Minato is dancing and confesses. Minato confesses too and later on *wink wink* As they are walking back, Kurosawa gives Adachi a file about the planning competition he saw Adachi being interested in. He says that he will support Adachi no matter what he chooses to do. Adachi replies that he will give the competition a try because of how supportive Kurosawa has been so far. They hug in public.
  • November 9th: Adachi goes to work and Rokkaku apologizes for being rude the other day. As Rokkaku says how everyone is supporting Minato with his dancing competition, this gives the final push for Adachi to submit his application.

Episode 10:

  • November 8th/9th: Adachi and Kurosawa talking in the cafe. Kurosawa says that they will hold back the day of their date because he wants Adachi to focus on his competition but he is expecting a reward~ at the end of it.
  • November 9th - 13th: Within this time frame, we have the opening scene of the Tsuge and Adachi's phonecall. Tsuge is excited to share with Adachi the details of his new love life as well as reassuring Adachi that "his day" will come in regards to losing his power. Adachi is not sure how to feel about this since Tsuge proves that after having sex, he lost his power for good. Adachi says that he is still not emotionally prepared but quickly denies it and says that he is fine if it's with Kurosawa.
  • November 14th: Adachi says to Kurosawa and Fujisaki that he has 3 days left for the competition's deadline (November 17th). As a flashback of a later scene, we see that Rokkaku, Fujisaki and Urabe all show their support for Adachi.
  • November 15th: Adachi is working on the designs but it's not going as well as he expected. He and Kurosawa have a discussion regarding showing support but Adachi's insecurities show up: Kurosawa decides they should do a "practice date" so it can ease Adachi's mind. They go to the amusement park and have fun until Adachi gets sick on the "Viking" ride. Adachi sees that Kurosawa is not looking happy and decides to read his mind in order to find out why.
  • November 17th: Deadline of the competition. We see Adachi exiting the competition's office door and finding Kurosawa back from a business trip. Adachi asks him if he has time after work: they go to a bookstore to buy the new "Ragna Crimson" manga volume and later to a restaurant for dinner. There we see that both become a little more honest with their feelings and thoughts regarding their relationship and expectations of each other. The discussion ends on a happy note as they both laugh. They walk back together while holding hands but accidentally Adachi replies to Kurosawa's thoughts about their Christmas date. It's there that he realizes that this can't go on since none likes to have their minds read by someone else. Just before Kurosawa can complete his thought of "If he really read my mind, I..." Adachi takes his hand away from Kurosawa's, making up the excuse of trying to find his phone. The episode ends with Adachi thinking that if he tells Kurosawa about his mind reading power, thing will never be the same again between them.

Episode 11:

  • December 13th (?): Tsuge and Adachi meet at a cafe and Tsuge tells Adachi not to rely on his magic too much.
  • December 21st: Day of the presentation. Adachi accidentally hears the thoughts of Mrs. Terashima, who is responsible for the competition, on the elevator. She quickly dismisses Adachi during his presentation but Adachi doesn't back down and instead uses the knowledge he got from her thoughts. He exits the room and Kurosawa is waiting for him. Terashima finds them and announces to Adachi that he didn't pass in the second round but she liked his presentation. Adachi is filled with guilt as he broke the promise to himself about using not using magic. He and Kurosawa have a dinner at Kurosawa's apartment to celebrate Adachi's presentation. There Adachi still feels bad about the whole thing while simultaneously hears Kurosawa's worries. Not being able to take it anymore, he indirectly asks Kurosawa to teach him "that". Kurosawa is surprised but also happy to kiss Adachi. As he is leaning for the kiss, Adachi can hear Kurosawa's thought and his guilt, explodes. He pushes Kurosawa away, apologizes immediately and then reveals to Kurosawa that he can read people's thoughts for some time now. Kurosawa believes him but Adachi's guilt and low self-confidence are too much at the moment and he is not sure what to do with their relationship; thus Kurosawa proposes to Adachi is they want to break up, as a way to make Adachi feel less conflicted about the whole thing. Adachi accepts Kurosawa's proposal and leaves; end scene is Kurosawa still kneeling in front of Adachi's empty now chair.

Episode 12:

  • December 22nd: The day after they broke up. "My life has completely gone back to the way it was" - Adachi.
  • December 24th: It's Christmas Eve. Adachi has been feeling very down since that night at Kurosawa's place. We can see his apartment is a mess and he doesn't take care of himself. Tsuge goes to Adachi's place: they go to a cafe and Tsuge knocks some sense into Adachi regarding relationships and feelings. Adachi decides that Tsuge is right and needs to come clean to Kurosawa about his feelings and thoughts. Then we see a scene of Adachi running with a bicycle accross the city, that was shown at the beginning of episode 1, trying to find the place Kurosawa wanted them to see the fireworks (despite the fireworks being cancelled that day for safety reasons). Adachi reaches the rooftop waiting to find Kurosawa but he is not there. While still waiting, Kurosawa appears. Adachi is able to voice his feelings to Kurosawa and tells him that he wants to be together with him. Kurosawa hugs him and proposes to Adachi using pens since he thought that using rings would be too much for the shy Adachi. Adachi accepts and in that moment they see fireworks: Fujisaki and Rokkaku decided to light some fireworks to lighten up the mood on Christmas Eve (even though Fujisaki knew about Kurosawa's plan and was ready in any case hehe). As Adachi and Kurosawa watch the fireworks, Adachi tells him that he with magic or not, it doesn't matter and wants to be together with Kurosawa so he is willing to lose his power.
  • December 25th(?): Adachi and Kurosawa wake up in the same bed that morning in Kurosawa's apartment. It's heavily implied that they had sex and Adachi lost his magic (per the urban legend's saying)  which is later confirmed by Adachi's narration: Adachi walking on the street thinking "this is how I lost my magic",  Adachi in the elevator, Adachi and Kurosawa using their pens at work, Kurosawa's teasing. The final scene is them at the elevator: they are leaning in to kiss each other, as the doors are closing leaving the viewers cockblocked for eternity

Thank you! Using discussions is indeed a nice way to save information of Cherry Magic without it getting lost in the constant commentstream. Good timeline!

I think that the events of October 25th and October 26th happen on the same day since all the characters are still wearing the same clothes. Also, it would be strange for Kurosawa to give Adachi the little rice roll the day after; it looked more like a small gift he prepared quickly (but with care and love ♥) not long after they talked by the photocopier.

Ah, you are right! I didn't notice the clothes. I took it as is the next day because I thought the scene were Fujisaki and Adachi talk over lunch is their only break of the day, so it would be weird to have another one, right? The other option is to take into account the "possible error" of one day and have the story start on October 1st. That way the events on Episode 5 are the same day and I am not missing one. Still having lunch twice in a day while working is weird for me but whatever lol

I think that Rokkaku forced that double lunch ahah. He really wanted to thank him, so he bought all kinds of food and asked him "you're hungry, aren't you?", making it hard for Adachi to refuse him. If you pay close attention, you'll also see that the first time Adachi has lunch (with Fujisaki), the cafeteria is packed, while the second time (with Rokkaku) it's pretty deserted and there's a lady cleaning (hinting that most people don't go to the cafeteria by that time). So, yeah, I think that Adachi "kind of just went along with him" (I'm quoting his words), even if he didn't really want to eat again ><

Ok, then I am going to do the necessary changes. Thank you for pointing this out! All comments are welcome since other fans can see details that I missed :)

No problem, we should do this together ^^

So, Episode 9 takes place on their 9th day of dating!

This timeline is so helpful! What a fantastic work of supreme geekery! <3

Thanks again for the great timeline ^^ it helps a lot when looking up stuff

 janosch :

So, Episode 9 takes place on their 9th day of dating!

Right. If we consider Oct 30th as their first day, then episode 9 takes place on Nov 7th, which is plausible since Adachi applies to the competition between Nov 5th and Nov 17th (according to the application form). BUT I have a doubt. Nov 7th is a Saturday. Now, even if Toyokawa's office were open on Saturdays -- it could be true since Oct 26th is a Monday and Oct 31st is a Saturday and the characters seem to work every day during that time span -- wouldn't it be strange for the characters to refer to Sunday as "this weekend" instead of "tomorrow" in episode 9? Plus, Adachi seems to go to work on Nov 8th, which should be Sunday! I don't want to make it complicated, but we can't work on the timeline if we don't keep track of the days of the week and discover when their first official date will happen.

Maybe we should wait for episode 10 and see if we get more info there. Or maybe we should just ignore the days of the week ><

Same thoughts here! I am absolutely addicted to this series. I shall definately rewatch it in one go after it's finished ;))) Keeps me smiling ...

Updated the timeline after episode 9!

Tbh, I am confused. I am not sure when I should place their first day of dating. Is it day of confessing aka October 30th which makes the day of timeskip take place on November 8th or is it the day of the failed first date, October 31st, which makes the day of the timeskip on November 9th? I went with the second option here.

I hope Kurosawa or Adachi drop a date in the new episode because I feel it would help me lol

Suggestions and corrections are welcome as always :)
